About HyperProp

HyperProp is a trading platform built from the ground up for the prop firm world. Prop firms list and sell their evaluations directly on HyperProp, and traders take those evaluations and trade them on our own platform - order entry, matching, live P&L, and rule enforcement all happen on our infrastructure.

That means we own the whole stack: the matching and execution layer traders send orders into, the real-time risk engine that enforces each prop firm's evaluation rules, and the dashboards that show traders exactly where they stand. We run 24/7, and every millisecond between order and fill is ours to optimise. We're a small, fast-moving team building the platform serious traders get funded on. Now we're looking for a Software Architect to own the technical backbone and scale it to the next phase.

The role

As Software Developer, you'll own HyperProp's technical direction end to end - from the low-latency order entry and execution path, to the real-time risk engine that enforces prop firm evaluation rules on every trade, to the dashboards traders live in. Your decisions determine whether an order fills in time, whether a rule breach is caught the instant it happens, and whether a trader's evaluation result is correct.

This role is for someone with strong opinions about system design, an obsession with latency and correctness, and a taste for fast-moving scale-ups where the founding team is one message away.

What you'll own

The full HyperProp platform: the order entry and execution engine traders trade on, the real-time risk and evaluation-rule engine, the marketplace where prop firms list and sell evaluations, payout and drawdown tracking, and the live trader dashboards on top.

What you'll do

Design and own the architecture of HyperProp's core platform: order entry, execution/matching, the real-time risk and evaluation-rule engine, the prop-firm evaluation marketplace, and live dashboards.
Build and optimise the low-latency execution path in Rust and TypeScript - keeping order-to-fill and rule enforcement as fast as physically possible.
Architect scalable WebSocket infrastructure streaming order state, fills, and rule status to thousands of concurrent traders in real time.
Design the evaluation-rule engine so each prop firm's parameters (drawdown, targets, consistency rules) are enforced live and correctly on every trade.
Make infrastructure decisions across AWS and/or Azure, including caching with Redis and database design on Supabase / PostgreSQL.
Containerise and run services with Docker, maintaining reliability across environments in a 24/7 trading operation.
Fold AI-assisted development (Cursor, Claude) into the team's workflow to ship faster.
Work directly with the founding team on product direction and technical strategy.
Set coding standards, review architecture decisions, and mentor engineers as the team grows.

What we're looking for

_ 5+ years in software architecture or senior engineering roles. _

Een AI-architectuur ontwerpen die door de securityreview komt, past in het bestaande IT-landschap en is ontworpen op flexibiliteit om ook op de lange termijn schaalbaar en kostenefficiënt te blijven, is een ander vak. Als AI Architect bij PwC ontwerp je end-to-end oplossingen voor GenAI, RAG en agentic AI. Je verbindt data, cloud, integratie, security en governance tot een architectuur die niet alleen op papier klopt, maar ook in productie standhoudt. Binnen het Data & AI Consulting-team van PwC Nederland werk je aan complexe vraagstukken bij ministeries, uitvoeringsorganisaties, financiële instellingen en grote commerciële opdrachtgevers. Je vertaalt businessbehoeften naar robuuste architecturen waarin data, cloud, security, governance en AI-technologie samenkomen: Je bent geen ivoren-toren-architect die een plaat oplevert en verdwijnt, en ook geen lead engineer die de implementatie op componentniveau voor zijn rekening neemt. Je blijft betrokken van ontwerp tot en met realisatie, je geeft richting aan engineers, je bent aanspreekbaar op de keuzes die je hebt gemaakt en je stelt je eigen ontwerp bij als de praktijk daar reden voor geeft. Je wacht niet tot alle requirements zijn uitgewerkt, maar stelt vragen, maakt aannames expliciet en bouwt snel een eerste versie om met gebruikers te toetsen wat daadwerkelijk werkt. Waar je terechtkomt Binnen het Data & AI Consulting-team van PwC Nederland werk je aan complexe vraagstukken bij ministeries, uitvoeringsorganisaties, financiële instellingen en grote commerciële opdrachtgevers. Je helpt klanten om generatieve AI niet alleen te verkennen, maar daadwerkelijk onderdeel te maken van hun processen, applicaties en dagelijkse werk. Ons werk is pas geslaagd als de oplossing technisch werkt én in de dagelijkse praktijk waarde oplevert. Dit ga je doen Je werkt van een nog niet volledig uitgewerkt klantvraagstuk naar een AI-oplossing die in de dagelijkse praktijk wordt gebruikt. Je combineert discovery, software-engineering en klantgerichte delivery. Concreet: Je onderzoekt samen met gebruikers het echte probleem. Je brengt processen, knelpunten, data en bestaande systemen in kaart en vertaalt een nog onduidelijke klantvraag naar heldere requirements, succescriteria en een eerste leverbare stap. Je bouwt en toetst snel een eerste werkende oplossing. Met echte gebruikers en realistische data test je aannames en ontwikkel je GenAI-oplossingen met bijvoorbeeld LLM's, RAG, agents en reguliere softwarecomponenten. Je integreert de oplossing in de klantomgeving. Je bouwt API's, datastromen, authenticatie en koppelingen met bestaande applicaties en systemen. Daarbij maak je bewust de afweging wanneer AI waarde toevoegt en wanneer reguliere softwarelogica beter past. We werken voor klanten waar security, privacy en compliancy van levensbelang zijn (zoals banken en ministeries). Snel naar productie gaan is daar een uitdaging. Jouw rol is om met onze teamleden de discussie aan te gaan met security-officers en architecten. Je helpt hen in te zien hoe we op een veilige en verantwoorde manier die eerste versies live kunnen krijgen. Je brengt de oplossing betrouwbaar naar productie. Je zorgt voor geautomatiseerde tests, evaluaties, security, CI/CD, monitoring en logging. Wat ga je doen?

Bij ons werk je aan high-traffic platforms waar gigantische hoeveelheden data samenkomen. Jij bent verantwoordelijk voor de volledige cyclus: van diepe data-analyse tot het schrijven van robuuste, productiewaardige code. Je bouwt dus niet alleen het model, maar zorgt er ook voor dat dit stabiel en schaalbaar draait binnen onze architectuur.

Jouw werk raakt direct de kern van ons bestaansrecht. Of je nu onze ranking-algoritmes verfijnt of bouwt aan automatische content-filtering voor een veiligere industrie: jouw modellen hebben enorme impact. Je bouwt daarbij niet alleen proof of concepts; je test, evalueert via A/B-tests en optimaliseert tot alles vlekkeloos draait. Jouw doel? Technologische mogelijkheden vertalen naar meetbare business-impact, terwijl je altijd scherp blijft op de balans tussen performance, kosten en ethische kaders.

Je houdt je bezig met:

Je ontwerpt, bouwt en realiseert robuuste ML-modellen en implementeert GenAI modellen. Dit doe je van development tot productie.
Je neemt ownership over ons data lakehouse in Databricks en bouwt efficiënte data-pipelines.
Je analyseert data om kansen te identificeren voor onder andere betere ranking, conversie en retentie.
Je valideert nieuwe modellen en aannames via gestructureerde A/B-tests;
Je vormt samen met je collega's de brug tussen data science en backend; je zorgt dat model-outputs via API's of de juiste bestandstypes naadloos integreren met de backend.
