Als Data Engineer bij Zonneplan werk je aan iets dat de hele organisatie raakt. Je bouwt en verbetert het centrale dataplatform, maakt data veilig beschikbaar voor alle teams en legt de technische basis voor een nieuw ML-platform. Dat betekent: pipelines die betrouwbaar draaien, datakwaliteit die teams kunnen vertrouwen en selfservice-oplossingen waarmee collega's zelf aan de slag kunnen. Je ziet direct wat jouw werk oplevert wanneer dataverzoeken sneller worden afgehandeld en teams autonomer met data werken.

Je werkt vanuit Team Infra en schakelt dagelijks met engineering, Trading & Optimization, GenAI en andere developmentteams. Denk aan een terugkerend dataverzoek dat je samen vertaalt naar een duurzame selfservice-oplossing, of een dataset die je veilig ontsluit zodat het GenAI-team er zelfstandig dashboards mee kan bouwen. Agentic Engineering is een vast onderdeel van hoe we werken: je krijgt een Claude Code Max 20x-licentie (of equivalent) tot je beschikking en we moedigen actief aan om AI in te zetten bij alles wat je doet. De lijnen zijn kort, de impact breed. Zo help je Zonneplan datagedreven en AI-gedreven te werken, en dat versnelt plan Zero: betere data betekent snellere beslissingen en slimmere energiesystemen.

Je werkt 32-40 uur per week met een salaris tussen €3.500 en €5.000 bruto per maand.

Jouw impact bij Zonneplan

• Jij bouwt en verbetert het dataplatform. Je ontwikkelt datapipelines en datamodellen die de hele organisatie van betrouwbare data voorzien. Je monitort wat er draait, signaleert problemen vroeg en lost ze op voordat ze impact hebben op dashboards, analyses of ML-toepassingen.
• Jij maakt data veilig en breed beschikbaar. Je richt toegangscontroles en datakwaliteitschecks in zodat teams zelfstandig en verantwoord met data kunnen werken. Je vertaalt dataverzoeken vanuit de organisatie naar structurele oplossingen en verkort daarmee de doorlooptijd flink.
• Jij legt de basis voor het ML-platform. Je bouwt de technische fundamenten waarop toekomstige machine learning-toepassingen kunnen draaien. Je werkt daarbij nauw samen met andere developers om te zorgen dat het platform aansluit op wat zij nodig hebben, van modeltraining tot serving.
• Jij werkt AI-gedreven en verbetert continu. Agentic Engineering is geen experiment, het is hoe we werken. Je zet tools zoals Claude Code in bij ontwikkeling, testen, documentatie en monitoring. Terugkerend werk automatiseer je en je deelt wat je leert actief met je team.

Dit neem jij mee

• Je hebt minimaal 1 tot 2 jaar ervaring als Data Engineer en bent breed inzetbaar op het vakgebied.
• Je beheerst SQL en hebt ervaring met datamodellering en het bouwen en beheren van betrouwbare datapipelines.
• Je denkt kritisch over datakwaliteit, betrouwbaarheid en veiligheid, en neemt daar eigenaarschap over.
• Je maakt technische onderwerpen begrijpelijk voor niet-technische collega's en werkt graag samen met andere teams om gebruikersbehoeften te vertalen naar oplossingen.
• Je signaleert verbeterkansen en pakt ze op zonder dat iemand je erom vraagt. AI zet je dagelijks in om sneller en slimmer te werken.
• Ervaring met tools uit onze stack zoals Dagster, Snowflake, Postgres, Kafka, dbt, dlthub, Airbyte, Kubernetes of AWS is mooi meegenomen. Je hoeft niet alles te kennen, maar nieuwe tooling maak je snel eigen.
• Heb je eerder gewerkt aan data mesh of self-service analytics? Dan is dat een echte pre. Je snapt dan hoe je teams in staat stelt zelfstandig met data te werken zonder in te leveren op kwaliteit of veiligheid.

• Een salaris tussen €3.500 en €5.000 bruto per maand, afhankelijk van je ervaring en kennis.

What you bring

• MBO 3 or 4 Electrical Engineering, or equivalent experience
• Solid experience as an electrical engineer in commercial and industrial buildings, for example offices, healthcare, industry or data centers
• Knowledge of UPS systems, distribution boards, backup power and instrumentation, extensive experience with them is a strong plus
• NEN 3140 VP and VCA, or the willingness to obtain them
• Driver's license B; Dutch and English at working level
