Over de vacature

You work on the power beneath the digital world: streaming services, banking apps and AI services all run on it. No homes, no offices, critical technology where every second counts.

Right to work: You must already be allowed to work in the Netherlands. We do not sponsor visas or work permits.

UPS systems, battery banks and backup power: the installations that keep servers up, even when the grid drops out. You replace battery modules, measure voltage and conductance, pull and label cables and record what you did, because in these buildings the documentation weighs as much as the work. One week you are in Amsterdam, the next in Frankfurt or Brussels, at sites almost no one enters. If you come from commercial and industrial buildings and UPS is new to you, you learn those systems here on the installation itself, alongside an experienced engineer. Physical, technical and precise, because a mistake is not an option here.

The essentials: Salary €3.300 to €4.100 per month · 40 hours per week · Fulltime · Based in Wateringen.

In this role you earn €3.300 at entry, rising to €4.100 as an experienced engineer. Growing on to Senior can later reach €4.900, but you are applying now for the Data Center Engineer role.

What you bring

  • Solid experience as an electrical engineer in commercial and industrial buildings, for example offices, healthcare, industry or data centers
  • MBO 3 Electrical Engineering or equivalent experience
  • Knowledge of UPS and backup power systems, extensive experience with them is a welcome plus
  • NEN 3140 VP and VCA VOL, or the willingness to obtain them
  • Driver's license B
  • You can work independently
  • English at working level is a plus
  • Willing to work abroad (regularly Benelux, occasionally further)

What we offer

  • Manufacturer training on UPS systems from Eaton and Schneider Electric
  • NEN 3140 and VCA certification if you don't have them yet
  • The opportunity to obtain NEN 3840 (high voltage)
  • LOTO and ESD training
  • International work in Europe's most secure data centers
  • Metal & Engineering CAO with travel allowance, overtime pay and ADV days
  • A team of 20, no meeting culture, things get done

“Last month I was in Frankfurt. The week before, two days in Belgium. You never know exactly where you'll be next week, but you do know it won't be a boring job.” · Data Center Engineer · 2 years at First Case

How to apply

Low-threshold and honest. No mailbox full of forms. Applying takes a few minutes and a CV is optional. We get back to you quickly.

Description

Companies are increasingly facing more complex tax laws and regulations, governments demanding full transparency, and various stakeholders taking a growing interest in a company's strategic tax choices. Would you like to make a real difference for our clients by combining tax and legal knowledge with financial and analytical insight? Do you thrive on direct client contact and teamwork, and are you curious about the possibilities of AI and technological innovation? Then this is the opportunity for you!

What will you be doing?

As a Tax Accounting & Tax Compliance Consultant, you will advise and support companies at both national and international level in meeting their tax compliance and reporting obligations. You will work directly with clients: discussing issues, translating tax and legal laws and regulations into practical solutions, and helping to set up internal financial and tax processes. In doing so, you will help companies keep their tax compliance and tax accounting sustainably under control. You will work directly with CFOs, Tax Directors and finance teams, gaining insight into how large organisations structure their tax processes, reporting and decision-making. You will combine your tax knowledge with data analysis, AI and technology to improve processes and manage risks.

You will start in a broad role within an informal, multidisciplinary team of accountants, tax specialists, and data and technology specialists. From the outset, you will have extensive client contact and collaborate on practical advice that brings together tax, legal and financial insights. Over time, you will develop within the team towards the area of expertise that suits you best.

The key responsibilities of this role are:

  • Together with clients, you will be involved in preparing complex direct tax returns and preparing and reviewing the tax position in the financial statements under Dutch GAAP, IFRS or US GAAP;

  • You will actively advise clients on tax accounting matters and translate complex tax and legal rules into practical financial solutions;

  • Using data extraction, AI and software solutions, you will help clients make optimal use of their financial and tax data, enabling them to meet their compliance and reporting obligations quickly and accurately, such as corporate income tax returns and Country-by-Country reporting.

Does this describe you?

You are someone who creates and seizes opportunities. You are innovative, entrepreneurial and unafraid to challenge the status quo. You are interested in AI and other technological developments in the tax field and enjoy translating them into practical solutions for clients. You can combine tax and legal issues with analytical and financial thinking, and you are driven to make a difference together with your team and clients. You believe in acting with integrity, both internally and externally, and take personal responsibility for doing so. You bring plenty of energy, and you also:

  • Have completed a higher professional education or university degree in Tax Law, Tax Economics, Tax & Technology, or another relevant university programme, such as Business Economics, Accountancy, Business Administration or Econometrics, provided you have an affinity with tax;

  • Have an excellent command of both Dutch and English;

  • Are numerically skilled, analytically strong and able to translate tax and legal issues into practical solutions and identify connections quickly.

What are we offering?

At PwC, you will have the opportunity to be yourself, bring out the best in yourself in a high-performance organisation, and grow within our global network. As part of our team, we offer, among other things:

  • A competitive salary, an attractive pension scheme and the opportunity to progress quickly;

  • Tailored training for professional growth and leadership development;

  • A motivating work environment where collaboration with ambitious colleagues and recognition of your contributions are highly valued;

  • An extensive benefits package, including a well-being budget for physical and mental health;

  • You will work at client locations and at the office, with flexibility for hybrid working where possible;

  • An ergonomic home office set-up and a net expense allowance for internet and other costs;

  • Attractive mobility options, including an electric lease car, an allowance if you choose not to take a lease car, and access to various shared mobility providers;

  • 29 days of annual leave.

This is just a selection of our employment benefits. For more information, please visit our website .

Over de vacature

As demand for advanced technologies such as AI, automotive electronics, and smart devices continues to grow, so does the need for semiconductors. These chips are essential to countless industries and technologies that shape our daily lives.

At Trymax, we develop and build high-tech, plasma-based wafer-processing equipment for semiconductor manufacturers worldwide. As a Field Service Engineer, you work at the forefront of wafer-processing technology, supporting our growing international customer base with installation, service, and technical expertise. Are you ready for the challenge? What will be your role?
As a Field Service Engineer, you install, commission, service, and troubleshoot our systems at customers' sites, primarily across Europe and occasionally in the USA or Asia. You are the first point of contact for technical support and advice and, where applicable, carry out preventive maintenance under service agreements. Since much of the first-line maintenance is performed by our customers’ own technical teams, you also play an important role in training their service engineers and operators. By accurately documenting system issues and solutions, advising customers on spare parts management, and sharing technical knowledge, you help maximize system uptime and performance. You will also regularly meet with customers to discuss technical progress, service activities, and follow-up actions. When you are not travelling or working at a customer site, you will be based at our headquarters in Nijmegen. Here, you provide remote technical support to customers and colleagues via Microsoft Teams, email, and telephone, and prepare system upgrades, service activities, and documentation. You will join our team in Nijmegen and receive extensive onboarding and technical training to become familiar with our systems, technology, and procedures. In addition, experienced colleagues will provide hands-on, on-the-job training. Your manager will be in touch with you on a regular basis to support you. What we expect from you
You are passionate about our systems and are eager to learn about our latest developments and technologies. Driven by keeping our customers operational, you are focused on delivering results. As you’ll be working both independently and together with colleagues, you enjoy the balance between autonomy and teamwork. Your communication skills help you connect easily with colleagues, customers’ operators, engineers, and management. Most of the customers you support are located in Europe, but occasionally you may be called upon for assignments outside Europe, including in the USA or Asia. That is why you enjoy travelling and are comfortable working in an international environment. The knowledge and experience you bring to Trymax include:

  • A Bachelor’s degree in Mechatronics, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a comparable technical field. You may also have gained this level of knowledge through relevant work experience.
  • Knowledge of multiple disciplines, such as mechanical, electro-mechanical and electrical engineering, electronics, pneumatics, vacuum systems, robotics, RF technology, and software. Knowledge of vacuum systems, robotics, and/or RF technology is considered a plus.
  • Work experience in equipment engineering, servicing, or the semiconductor industry is desirable, but not essential.
  • Good working knowledge of English. Knowledge of German and/or Dutch is a plus.
  • A valid driving licence.

What you’ll get in return
This role gives you the opportunity to work with some of the latest semiconductor technology as part of a team of dedicated specialists.
