Over de vacature

We are a proprietary trading firm operating at the intersection of mathematics, technology, and global financial markets. From our Amsterdam office, we design and run systematic, low-latency trading strategies across multiple asset classes and venues worldwide.

Our researchers come from highly competitive academic and technical backgrounds, and we actively engage with the international problem-solving community. Many members of our team have distinguished themselves in mathematical research, engineering, and elite competitions.

Description

Companies are increasingly facing more complex tax laws and regulations, governments demanding full transparency, and various stakeholders taking a growing interest in a company's strategic tax choices. Would you like to make a real difference for our clients by combining tax and legal knowledge with financial and analytical insight? Do you thrive on direct client contact and teamwork, and are you curious about the possibilities of AI and technological innovation? Then this is the opportunity for you!

What will you be doing?

As a Tax Accounting & Tax Compliance Consultant, you will advise and support companies at both national and international level in meeting their tax compliance and reporting obligations. You will work directly with clients: discussing issues, translating tax and legal laws and regulations into practical solutions, and helping to set up internal financial and tax processes. In doing so, you will help companies keep their tax compliance and tax accounting sustainably under control. You will work directly with CFOs, Tax Directors and finance teams, gaining insight into how large organisations structure their tax processes, reporting and decision-making. You will combine your tax knowledge with data analysis, AI and technology to improve processes and manage risks.

You will start in a broad role within an informal, multidisciplinary team of accountants, tax specialists, and data and technology specialists. From the outset, you will have extensive client contact and collaborate on practical advice that brings together tax, legal and financial insights. Over time, you will develop within the team towards the area of expertise that suits you best.

The key responsibilities of this role are:

  • Together with clients, you will be involved in preparing complex direct tax returns and preparing and reviewing the tax position in the financial statements under Dutch GAAP, IFRS or US GAAP;

  • You will actively advise clients on tax accounting matters and translate complex tax and legal rules into practical financial solutions;

  • Using data extraction, AI and software solutions, you will help clients make optimal use of their financial and tax data, enabling them to meet their compliance and reporting obligations quickly and accurately, such as corporate income tax returns and Country-by-Country reporting.

Does this describe you?

You are someone who creates and seizes opportunities. You are innovative, entrepreneurial and unafraid to challenge the status quo. You are interested in AI and other technological developments in the tax field and enjoy translating them into practical solutions for clients. You can combine tax and legal issues with analytical and financial thinking, and you are driven to make a difference together with your team and clients. You believe in acting with integrity, both internally and externally, and take personal responsibility for doing so. You bring plenty of energy, and you also:

  • Have completed a higher professional education or university degree in Tax Law, Tax Economics, Tax & Technology, or another relevant university programme, such as Business Economics, Accountancy, Business Administration or Econometrics, provided you have an affinity with tax;

  • Have an excellent command of both Dutch and English;

  • Are numerically skilled, analytically strong and able to translate tax and legal issues into practical solutions and identify connections quickly.

What are we offering?

At PwC, you will have the opportunity to be yourself, bring out the best in yourself in a high-performance organisation, and grow within our global network. As part of our team, we offer, among other things:

  • A competitive salary, an attractive pension scheme and the opportunity to progress quickly;

  • Tailored training for professional growth and leadership development;

  • A motivating work environment where collaboration with ambitious colleagues and recognition of your contributions are highly valued;

  • An extensive benefits package, including a well-being budget for physical and mental health;

  • You will work at client locations and at the office, with flexibility for hybrid working where possible;

  • An ergonomic home office set-up and a net expense allowance for internet and other costs;

  • Attractive mobility options, including an electric lease car, an allowance if you choose not to take a lease car, and access to various shared mobility providers;

  • 29 days of annual leave.

Together with other new colleagues from various business units, you’ll develop your consulting skills, and of course, there will be plenty of opportunities for social interaction. It’s a great way to start building your internal network at PwC!

As a junior consultant, you’ll also have the opportunity to gain international experience by working with our foreign teams on client assignments for a certain period.

  • You enjoy solving complex problems and are comfortable working with both people and data;

Description

Companies are increasingly facing more complex tax laws and regulations, governments demanding full transparency, and various stakeholders taking a growing interest in a company’s strategic tax choices.

  • Together with clients, you will be involved in preparing complex direct tax returns and preparing and reviewing the tax position in the financial statements under Dutch GAAP, IFRS or US GAAP;

  • You will actively advise clients on tax accounting matters and translate complex tax and legal rules into practical financial solutions;

  • Have completed a higher professional education or university degree in Tax Law, Tax Economics, Tax & Technology, or another relevant university programme, such as Business Economics, Accountancy, Business Administration or Econometrics, provided you have an affinity with tax;

  • Have an excellent command of both Dutch and English;

  • A competitive salary, an attractive pension scheme and the opportunity to progress quickly;

  • Tailored training for professional growth and leadership development;

  • A motivating work environment where collaboration with ambitious colleagues and recognition of your contributions are highly valued;

  • An extensive benefits package, including a well-being budget for physical and mental health;

  • You will work at client locations and at the office, with flexibility for hybrid working where possible;

  • An ergonomic home office set-up and a net expense allowance for internet and other costs;

  • Attractive mobility options, including an electric lease car, an allowance if you choose not to take a lease car, and access to various shared mobility providers;

  • 29 days of annual leave.

This is just a selection of our employment benefits. For more information, please visit our website.
