About this role

Where should JET invest next, and how do we make every euro and pound work harder? Within our Finance department, the Strategic Finance team helps our leaders answer these questions with data and insights they can trust.

As Senior Finance Business Partner, you will partner directly with the Director of Strategic Finance and cross-functional leaders across international markets. Guided by our values to lead, deliver, and care, you will bring a customer-centric mindset to evaluate investment cases, uncover profitability levers, and shape recommendations that drive tangible business value.

Through teamwork to deliver, you will bridge insights between Commercial, Product, Tech, and Country Finance teams, leveraging modern data tools and AI workflows to raise the bar for financial decision-making.

These are some of the key components to the position:

• Build and challenge investment cases, using scenario, sensitivity, and stress testing to aim high and drive excellence in capital allocation.
• Develop and maintain long-range financial models and strategic forecast scenarios alongside the Director of Strategic Finance.
• Identify margin and profitability opportunities across our market portfolio, joint ventures, partnerships, and commercial contracts.

Je bouwt dus niet alleen het model, maar zorgt er ook voor dat dit stabiel en schaalbaar draait binnen onze architectuur.

Jouw werk raakt direct de kern van ons bestaansrecht. Of je nu onze ranking-algoritmes verfijnt of bouwt aan automatische content-filtering voor een veiligere industrie: jouw modellen hebben enorme impact. Je bouwt daarbij niet alleen proof of concepts; je test, evalueert via A/B-tests en optimaliseert tot alles vlekkeloos draait. Jouw doel? Technologische mogelijkheden vertalen naar meetbare business-impact, terwijl je altijd scherp blijft op de balans tussen performance, kosten en ethische kaders.

Je houdt je bezig met:

Je ontwerpt, bouwt en realiseert robuuste ML-modellen en implementeert GenAI modellen. Dit doe je van development tot productie.
Je neemt ownership over ons data lakehouse in Databricks en bouwt efficiënte data-pipelines.
Je analyseert data om kansen te identificeren voor onder andere betere ranking, conversie en retentie.
Je valideert nieuwe modellen en aannames via gestructureerde A/B-tests;
Je vormt samen met je collega's de brug tussen data science en backend; je zorgt dat model-outputs via API's of de juiste bestandstypes naadloos integreren met de backend.

Onze manier van werken

Op dit moment werken we intensief samen met een externe partij voor de ontwikkeling van onze modellen en data infrastructuur. Officieel zijn ze wel extern, maar ze horen volledig bij ons team en werken ook bij ons op kantoor. Als Data Scientist ben jij de spil in deze samenwerking: jij bent de vakinhoudelijke expert die kennis en expertise borgt binnen onze eigen organisatie.

We zetten bedrijfsbreed volop in op deze technologie en zoeken mensen die AI aantoonbaar omhelsd hebben. Dit betekent dat je bij ons de vrijheid krijgt om te experimenteren met nieuwe tools om processen te versnellen, zolang je kritisch blijft op de output en de controle behoudt.

In this role you will partner with FinTech product and tech teams to own risk identification, assessment, and remediation across processes and IT systems. You will design and operate controls in a cloud-native environment, align with SOX and regulatory requirements, and address risks from emerging technologies like AI/ML. Wat ga je doen?

• Het beheren en laten groeien van bestaande samenwerkingen/partnership door het realiseren van jaarplannen.
• Het zoeken, creëren en uitvoeren van nieuwe strategische kansen in onze partnerships.
• Samen met het team werken aan doelen om de afdeling naar een hoger niveau te tillen.
• Fungeren als mentor en buddy voor andere teamleden, waarbij je een voorbeeldfunctie vervult en hen helpt hun skillset bij te brengen en naar een hoger niveau te tillen.
• Fungeren als ambassadeur van het Strategic Accounts team in NL en dit uitdragen naar andere afdelingen binnen JET.

Verantwoordelijkheden

• Own the Ads decision measurement framework and analytics used to evaluate major Ads decisions across product, pricing, placement, and monetization
• Develop tradeoff frameworks and guardrails balancing revenue, advertiser upside, and marketplace health
• Define evaluation standards beyond standard A/B tests, including incrementality, attribution, quasi-experiments, and sparse data scenarios
• Govern the Ads metric tree ensuring consistent, decision-useful definitions across Product, Data Science, Commercial, and Leadership
