Jij neemt de volledige verantwoordelijkheid voor de engineering van projecten vanaf de start tot aan de overdracht aan de afdeling Service. In deze dynamische rol coördineer je de technische activiteiten binnen een multidisciplinair team en bewaak je nauwgezet de kwaliteit en planning.

• Design, implement, and evaluate advanced algorithms, e.g. Multi-sensor fusion for localization, road modeling, drivable space detection, feature mapmatching and scan registration from proof-of-concept to real-time prototypes
• Plan, execute, and analyze testing activities for new concepts, including vehicle instrumentation, data collection, simulation, and on-vehicle validation
• Derive functional requirements and 'safe-by-design' frameworks for key autonomy function clusters such as localization, road and environment modeling, object detection and tracking
• Disseminate work or research outcomes through events, workshops, conference or journal publications, technical reports, and presentations, while collaborating closely with colleague to ensure practical implementation and technology transfer to customer projects

As an Electrical Engineer Data Center you work on the critical electrical installations in the Eemshaven: UPS systems, standby generators, distribution boards and the measurement and control equipment that goes with them. You carry out preventive maintenance, inspect installations, take measurements, resolve faults and record every action, because in these buildings the documentation weighs as much as the work. You are there when the manufacturer commissions new systems, so you see up close how a site is built up. If you come from commercial and industrial buildings and UPS is new to you, you learn those systems here on the installation itself. The work asks for precision and reliability: in these buildings the power must never fail.

The essentials: Salary €3.300 to €4.100 per month · 38 hours per week · Fulltime · Based in Groningen.

In this role you earn €3.300 at entry, rising to €4.100 as an experienced engineer. Growing on to Senior can later reach €4.900, but you are applying now for the Data Center Engineer role.

What you bring

• MBO 3 or 4 Electrical Engineering, or equivalent experience
• Solid experience as an electrical engineer in commercial and industrial buildings, for example offices, healthcare, industry or data centers
• Knowledge of UPS systems, distribution boards, backup power and instrumentation, extensive experience with them is a strong plus
• NEN 3140 VP and VCA, or the willingness to obtain them
• Driver's license B; Dutch and English at working level

who are you
Engineering is more than just a job to you; it's your passion. As an assembly technician, you recognize yourself in:

• Technical background: secondary vocational education (MBO level 2+) in Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics, Automotive or Electronics. Or relevant assembly experience.
• Analytical skills: ability to read technical drawings, parts lists, and pneumatic or electrical schematics.
• Work permit: you are currently living in the Netherlands.

what will you do
From the raw components to a fully operational machine, you build the technology of tomorrow. Your day-to-day includes:

• Assembly: assembling and mounting high-end machines, mechatronic modules, or sub-assemblies from technical drawings.
• System integration: mounting and connecting components.
• Fine-tuning & testing: precisely adjusting, aligning, and testing built installations to ensure flawless operation.
• Quality control: detecting dimensional deviations and ensuring every end product meets strict quality standards.
• Collaboration & continuous improvement: suggesting process or design enhancements to optimize assembly.

who are you
Engineering is more than just a job to you; it's your passion. As a mechanic, you recognize yourself in:

• technical foundation: minimum of MBO level 2 working and thinking level in Mechanical, Mechatronics, or Electrical Engineering. Or at least 1 year of experience as a maintenance technician.
• analytical ability: capable of reading and interpreting technical drawings and schematics.
• professionalism: accurate, solution-oriented and currently living in the Netherlands.

what will you do
Every day brings new challenges. As the foundation of the operation, you will be responsible for:

• corrective maintenance: Troubleshoot and resolve sudden mechanical and electrical equipment faults.
• preventive maintenance: Conduct scheduled inspections and overhauls to minimize operational downtime.
• commissioning: Set up, calibrate, and test new and existing installations in line with operational specs.
• process optimization: Propose technical improvements to maximize machinery reliability.
• reporting & documentation: Accurately log maintenance activities and maintain strict quality control over parts.
