Een overtuigend AI-voorstel schrijven is één ding. Een voorstel maken dat commercieel sterk is én achttien maanden later technisch nog steeds waargemaakt kan worden, is een ander vak. Met een realistische planning, een eerlijke risico-inschatting en een architectuur die aan de aanbestedingseisen voldoet. Dat vak is jouw vak.

Als Pre-sales Architect Data & AI zorg jij dat we alleen oplossingen voorstellen die onderscheidend, haalbaar en leverbaar zijn.

Waar je terechtkomt

Binnen het Data & AI Consulting-team van PwC Nederland werk je aan complexe vraagstukken bij ministeries, uitvoeringsorganisaties, financiële instellingen en grote commerciële opdrachtgevers. Je helpt klanten en bidteams om ambities te vertalen naar concrete oplossingsrichtingen: high-level designs, keuzes in de tech stack, effort estimates en duidelijke risico-inschattingen.

Je werkt schouder aan schouder met AI-architecten, AI- en data-engineers, Engineering Leads, bid managers, partners en business consultants. Waar de AI-architect de oplossing verder uitwerkt en de Engineering Lead de realisatie organiseert, zorg jij dat het voorstel in de offertefase al klopt: technisch haalbaar, commercieel aantrekkelijk en écht leverbaar.

Belangrijk om te weten wat deze rol níet is. Je bent geen accountmanager met een target en hoeft na de gunning niet fulltime mee te bouwen. Wel blijf je in de opstartfase van de realisatie betrokken als trusted advisor voor de klant en het engineering team. Zo borgen we dat jouw visie feilloos wordt overgedragen en blijf je feeling houden met de praktijk. Je bent de technisch inhoudelijke stem in het commerciële proces. Je zit in de discovery-gesprekken, je tekent de eerste architectuur, je rekent de inspanning door en je hebt het mandaat om te zeggen dat een voorgestelde scope niet haalbaar is. Dat mandaat is geen bijzaak: het is de reden dat deze rol bestaat.

Dit ga je doen

Je brengt klantbehoefte, businesswaarde, technische haalbaarheid, risico, planning en commerciële aannames samen in één voorstel dat standhoudt. Concreet:

• Je vormt samen met de klant de oplossing. Je leidt discoverygesprekken en workshops en vertaalt ambities naar concrete data- en AI-use-cases en oplossingsrichtingen.
• Je ontwerpt de eerste architectuur. Je stelt solution outlines, high-level designs en voorstellen voor de tech stack op, inclusief aannames, afhankelijkheden en niet-functionele eisen.
• Je maakt de oplossing leverbaar. Je onderbouwt scope, rollen, fasering, effort, planning, kosten en technische risico’s en toetst of de commerciële aannames realistisch zijn.
• Je maakt het voorstel overtuigend. Je werkt met bid managers, partners en accountteams aan RFP’s, RFI’s, aanbestedingen en proposals en legt de oplossing helder uit aan technische en niet-technische stakeholders.
• Je bewaakt de continuïteit na gunning. Je draagt keuzes, risico’s en aannames zorgvuldig over aan de AI Architect en Engineering Lead en blijft aanspreekbaar op wat in het voorstel is beloofd.

Waar je mee werkt

Onze tech stack verschilt per klant en per vraagstuk. We zoeken diepgang op een deel van het speelveld, geen volledigheid. Wie het principe beheerst, leert de tool.

Hier ben je thuis op architectuurniveau:

• Moderne data- en AI-architectuur op hoofdlijnen kunnen ontwerpen én uitleggen
• Effort, fasering en risico onderbouwd inschatten, ook als de informatie incompleet is
• Eén cloud écht goed kennen (bij ons is dat meestal Azure)
• De taal van zowel engineers als C-level stakeholders spreken

Hier kom je mee in aanraking:

• Microsoft Foundry, Azure OpenAI, Amazon Bedrock, Google Cloud Vertex AI
• Databricks, Snowflake, dbt, Kafka
• RAG- en agentic patterns, LangGraph, MCP
• Kubernetes, Terraform, CI/CD

Onderscheidend als je het meebrengt: ervaring met Europese aanbestedingen en publieke inkooptrajecten · kostenmodellering voor GenAI (token- en inferencekosten over meerdere jaren) · governance en compliance als ontwerpuitgangspunt (EU AI Act, auditability, EU-dataresidency) · ervaring met het opzetten van herbruikbare proposal-assets en referentiearchitecturen.

Werk je nu vooral in één cloud of vanuit één sector? Geen probleem. Belangrijker is dat je kunt uitleggen waarom je een keuze maakt, en wat die keuze de klant over twee jaar kost.

Hier herken jij jezelf in

Je bent een ervaren solution architect, pre-sales architect, enterprise architect, senior consultant of technisch lead die energie krijgt van de fase waarin de richting nog openligt.

• Je hebt ruime ervaring met data-, cloud-, software- of AI-oplossingen in een consulting-, enterprise- of technologieomgeving.
• Je hebt ervaring met pre-sales en solution shaping, bijvoorbeeld via proposalontwikkeling, bid support, technische klantadvisering of RFP- en RFI-trajecten.
• Je kunt een oplossingsrichting concreet en leverbaar maken. Je vertaalt architectuur naar scope, aannames, fasering, effort, kosten en risico’s.
• Je combineert technische diepgang met commercieel inzicht. Je begrijpt wat een voorstel onderscheidend maakt, zonder de deliveryrealiteit uit het oog te verliezen.
• Je brengt mensen en perspectieven samen. Je werkt effectief met klanten, engineers, bidteams en senior stakeholders, ook onder tijdsdruk, en legt complexe keuzes helder uit.

Je hebt hbo- of academisch niveau in een technische, exacte of bedrijfskundige richting, of een gelijkwaardig niveau opgebouwd via ervaring. We kijken naar wat je hebt ontworpen, voorgesteld en waargemaakt, niet naar je diploma. Je communiceert sterk in het Engels. Voor veel van onze opdrachtgevers schrijf en presenteer je ook in het Nederlands.
