• Een Bachelor- of Masterdiploma in Life Sciences, Toegepaste Natuurkunde, Chemie of een andere relevante technische richting.
• Kritisch denkvermogen en een probleemoplossende instelling.
• Ervaring met (Computer) System Validation in een GXP-omgeving.
• Ervaring in automatisering, kwaliteitscontrole of aanverwante gebieden.
• Ervaring met het Empower software platform en Python.
• Vaardigheid in het plannen, prioriteren van taken en zelfstandig werken in een dynamische omgeving.
• Beheerst de engelse taal op professionele niveau.

wat ga je doen
Als Automation Specialist werk je aan de implementatie van automatiseringsproducten binnen het Empower projectteam. Je ondersteunt 5 afdelingen, 300 medewerkers en bijna 250 systemen. Je neemt deel als projectlid aan het bouwen, ontwerpen en vrijgeven van Empower rapport methoden en het ontwikkelen van custom fields.

• Leiden van de technische implementatie van nieuwe laboratoriumsystemen (van standalone instrumenten tot complexe globale platforms zoals LIMS).
• Implementeren en onderhouden van SDMS-oplossingen en het stimuleren van kansen voor papierloze workflows.
• Opstellen en onderhouden van technische installatie en onderhoudsprocedures.
• Focus op Data Integrity praktijken, inclusief backup strategieën en disaster recovery planning.
• Softwarevalidatie, support en het communiceren van wijzigingen naar stakeholders.

Over de vacature

We are seeking an experienced Automation Specialist with a strong affinity for analysis
methodology and computerized systems to support our Quality Control laboratories.
You will act as the Subject Matter Expert for automation topics, including; data integrity, introduction
and maintenance of computerized systems and laboratory robotics and help ensure
GMP compliance while supporting LEAN initiatives across the team and process.

who are you
Do you recognize yourself in the following aspects?

• Bachelor or Master degree in Life Sciences, Applied Physics, Chemistry or in other such position.
• Ability to think critically and resolve issues.
• Excellent understanding of Excel-based precise formulas.
• Experience with (Computer) System Validation in an GXP environment.
• Proven experience in automation, quality control or related fields.
• Experience with the Empower software platform is a plus.
• Skilled at planning, prioritizing tasks, and thriving in a fast-paced setting.
• Good team player, also able to work independently. You are able to take actions in absence of specific instructions. You can read and write protocols/reports, business correspondence and procedures.

what will you do
The Automation Specialist will work on the implementation of automation products. These are related to separation assays (i.e., chromatography) in a dedicated team supporting 5 departments, 300 people, and nearly 250 systems. This role is project based. You will be part of the Empower project team. You will participate as project member, where you will build, design, and release of Empower report methods/projects, design and development of custom fields. Within the position you also will:

•  Lead technical implementation of new laboratory systems in collaboration with cross functional teams. Systems range from standalone analytical instruments to complex global platforms interfacing with LIMS.
•  Implement and maintain SDMS solutions and drive opportunities for paperless workflows.
•  Create and maintain administrator, technical installation, and maintenance procedures.
•  Own data integrity practices, including backup strategies and (disaster) recovery planning.
•  Provide timely support and troubleshooting for computerized system issues.
•  Ensure equipment implementations meet 21 CFR Part 11 compliance requirements.

•  Perform software validation and deliver validated methods to labs to enable new testing approaches for new products. Support and troubleshoot day to day challenges as part of the support team.

In this position you will work at Johnson & Johnson Innovative medicine. The need for automation support on Lab Systems is growing. The quality of data management, systems processes and standards (leverage on existing and implementing new technologies) need improvement continually. Lab Systems variate from analytical equipment to complex global platform projects.
