As a skilled Production Engineer with a experienced background in ISO standards, Lean/six sigma principles, FMEA, CAPA, and 8D problem-solving methodology, you thrive in innovative, collaborative, and cross-functional environments. In this role, you will play a critical part in enhancing the efficiency, flexibility, output, and quality of Super Micro’s production quality and capabilities.

You bring a wealth of experience and skills that contribute to driving continuous improvement in manufacturing processes. You identify with the following qualifications and traits:

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office-Excel, Word, Access, and PowerPoint
• 2+ years of experience in a manufacturing environment (pré)
• Knowledge in statistical quality control and DOE
• Experience with Lean principles and technology hardware manufacturing
• B.Sc/M.Sc in relevant engineering field, several years relevant work experience with storage components and system, server and hard drives industry
• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
• Proactive learner who can bring fresh perspectives to improve manufacturing processes

As a Production Engineer in SuperMicro's Production Department, you will take on a hands-on role with a deep understanding of the production process and products on the line. You will troubleshoot issues, pinpoint areas for improvement, and develop and implement strategies to optimize our production capabilities. Along the manufacturing responsibilities, you will communicate to other stakeholders within the management team timely and concise improvements resulting in cost reduction, and output efficiency.
In this role, you will provide:

• Technical Support: Provide technical expertise and support to the production team where required
• Documentation: Create Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and detailed work instructions to guide production processes
• Quality & Compliance: Foster a culture of adherence to company procedures, 5S practices, and ISO standards
• Administrative Support: Manage reporting of issues, test runs, maintain effective email communication to stakeholders, and complete related administrative tasks
• Build Support: Assist the production team in first-time builds, initial production runs, advise and correct test processes
• Cost Efficiency: Implement cost reduction initiatives while upholding high-quality standards.
• Training & Mentorship: Train and guide team members to meet production goals and ensure a productive work environment.

As an operator, you ensure that the production process runs smoothly. Together with your supervisor, you will also look for ways to improve the process and procedures. You are proactive, have strong communication skills, and are focused on quality and efficiency. In addition, you ensure that the process runs smoothly in accordance with safety and quality standards.

You have:

• MBO+ work and thinking level
• Experience in process technology, preferably in the food industry;
• Knowledge of safe working practices, food safety and/or HACCP;
• A problem-solving, result-oriented, and independent ability;
• Good communication skills in Dutch and English.
• Knowledge of German is a plus.

As a technical operator at this company, you manage the entire production process. You ensure that all machines are working correctly. This is the only way the freshly packaged product can leave the factory in the right condition.

Your tasks as a technical operator:

• Managing the entire production process;
• Proactively solving problems and resolving malfunctions;
• Performing quality checks;
• Complying with food safety, quality standards, and HACCP;
• Contributing ideas for improvement processes and implementing improvements to achieve efficiency, yield, and quality.
