As a Manufacturing Engineer (Product & Planning), you will be a crucial member of an Integrated Product Team (IPT), ensuring smooth operational deliveries. You will be responsible for analyzing production characteristics, managing Level 1 (L1) non-conformities, defining temporary production instructions, and preparing dispositions for Level 2 (L2) non-conformities. Your goal? Advancing to a Non-Conformity (NC) approver role while continuously improving production processes.
Your responsibilities
- Develop technical solutions to complex problems, ensuring compliance with GKN Aerospace Health, Safety, and Environmental policies.
- Provide technical support for manufacturing development and integration for production.
- Resolve issues related to vendor schedules and quality.
- Utilize root cause analysis, preventative and corrective actions to reduce non-conformities.
- Oversee the implementation of tooling and production planning using Zero Defect Manufacturing (ZDM) methodologies.
- Manage product development, first article development, configuration changes, and build process implementation.
- Deliver measurable, results-driven improvements aligned with Operational & Program goals.
- Foster strong working relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
- Continuously improve production processes by implementing Lean initiatives.
Wie ben jij?
- Experience in product/process introduction (industrialization) and production process improvements.
- 3 to 7 years experience in Manufacturing Engineering.
- A degree in Engineering (Aerospace, Mechanical, Automotive, or related field).
- Strong influencing and relationship-building skills within a global organization.
- Working knowledge of LEAN processes and quality systems (ISO9000, AS9100, or D1-9000).
- Excellent documentation and reporting skills.
- Knowledge and experience with hard metals;
- Familiarity with machining processes (milling, mill-turn, boring, honing) and/or surface treatment processes (heat treatment, plating, shot-peen, NDI) is a strict requirement.
- Fluency in English (written and spoken).

What you'll do
- Develop / optimize NC programs for multi-axis milling and mill-turn machines using advanced CAM software.
- Provide hands-on shop floor support to CNC operators, ensuring smooth and efficient operations.
- Troubleshoot and resolve machining issues on the shop floor to maintain production quality and efficiency.
- Work closely with other departments to ensure that machining processes meet the required specifications and standards.
- Continuously improve machining processes and contribute to the development of best practices within the department.

- Develop / improve standard operation procedures (SOP).

- Bachelor's in engineering (e.g. Engineering, Manufacturing Technology).
- 5 Years' experience in a hard metal manufacturing and a passion for precision, multi-axis machining.
- Proficient in using CATIA V5. Experience with TopSolid, Siemens NX CAM, Vericut, CrashGuard, Tooltech and TDM is an advantage.
- Strong ability to read and interpret Siemens NC code and Heidenhain.
- Extensive experience with on-machine probing.
- Experience and knowledge with hard metals;
- Proven experience with deep-hole drilling, mill-turning and turning techniques.
- Solid background in operating and programming CNC machines, with a deep understanding of multi-axis milling and mill-turn operations. Problem-solving skills and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Je helpt bij het opstellen en verbeteren van werkinstructies voor productie- en assemblageprocessen. Je werkt nauw samen met collega's van engineering, werkvoorbereiding en productie. Functieomschrijving
As a Assembly Technician, your responsibilities will include:
- Setting up and operating one of the three processing lines.
- Troubleshooting and resolving technical issues when necessary.
- Supplying the production lines with materials.
- Taking product samples and sending them to Japan for analysis.
- Performing visual inspections of the production line.
- Working according to detailed work instructions and production schedules.
- Keeping the production line dust-free and maintaining a clean environment.

- In this role, you will be responsible for pre-processing and customizing plates and profiles
- You will make materials fit by burning and grinding, and assemble workpieces using tack welding
- Additionally, you will take measures to prevent distortion during welding and ensure the precise alignment and fitting of engine parts and structures, both onboard the ship and elsewhere
Functie-eisen
- A completed vocational education (MBO) in Metalworking, Mechanical Engineering, or a similar technical field
- Proficiency in welding techniques and other joining methods
- A valid VCA certificate
- A certificate for safely lifting loads (or willingness to obtain this)

Are you technically inclined and do you enjoy working with machinery? As a Maintenance Technician, you ensure that our production machines keep running optimally. You perform maintenance tasks, troubleshoot electrical and mechanical faults, and make sure machines are quickly operational again. Additionally, you replace and overhaul components where necessary, working closely with operators and production colleagues. You also proactively share ideas to improve machinery and processes. Who you are
Does this sound like you?:
- A completed technical education at MBO-4 level;
- 1 year of relevant work experience within a manufacturing or maintenance environment;
- Knowledge of technical drawings and schematics;
- Good command of the Dutch or English languages;
- In possession of Basic VCA and NEN 3140 certificates, or willing to obtain these;
- Experience with Microsoft Office;
- An independent working attitude combined with a strong team mentality.
What will you do
As a Maintenance Technician, you will be engaged in both electrical and mechanical work. Your responsibilities include:
- Performing preventive maintenance on production machinery and equipment;
- Overhauling and replacing machine components;
- Analyzing and troubleshooting complex faults;
- Managing and monitoring utilities and related installations;
- Performing installation work and machine set-ups;
- Identifying areas for improvement and proposing optimizations;
- Drafting, managing, and updating maintenance documentation.
