Als Junior Application Engineer speel je een essentiële rol in het ontwikkelen en implementeren van automatiseringsoplossingen voor industriële toepassingen. Je werkt nauw samen met ervaren engineers die je begeleiden bij het vertalen van klantbehoeften naar technische specificaties. Je bent betrokken bij het gehele proces: van het eerste ontwerp tot de implementatie en het testen van de systemen. Je krijgt de kans om te werken met de nieuwste technologieën in de industriële automatisering en draagt direct bij aan innovatieve projecten die bedrijfsprocessen efficiënter en duurzamer maken. Naarmate je groeit in je rol, krijg je steeds meer verantwoordelijkheid en kun je doorgroeien naar een positie als zelfstandig Application Engineer of specialiseren in een specifiek domein binnen de industriële automatisering. Taken die bij deze functie horen:

• Ontwikkelen en programmeren van automatiseringsoplossingen;
• Opstellen van technische documentatie en gebruikershandleidingen;
• Testen en in bedrijf stellen van geïmplementeerde automatiseringsoplossingen;
• Ondersteunen bij het vertalen van klantwensen naar technische specificaties;
• Deelnemen aan projectvergaderingen en bijdragen aan technische discussies;
• Samenwerken met multidisciplinaire teams om integrale oplossingen te creëren;
• Bijdragen aan de continue verbetering van processen en methodieken.

Wat wij vragen:

Voor deze functie zoeken we een ambitieuze professional met 1-2 jaar relevante werkervaring in een technische omgeving. Je hebt een afgeronde HBO- of WO-opleiding in de richting van Elektrotechniek, Technische Informatica, Industriële Automatisering of vergelijkbaar. Je bent leergierig, analytisch sterk en hebt een passie voor techniek en automatisering. Daarnaast beschik je over goede communicatieve vaardigheden om technische oplossingen duidelijk te kunnen uitleggen aan zowel collega;s als klanten.

• Afgeronde HBO- of WO-opleiding in Elektrotechniek, Technische Informatica of vergelijkbaar;
• 1-2 jaar relevante werkervaring in een technische functie;
• Basiskennis van programmeertalen zoals Python, C++ of vergelijkbaar;
• Affiniteit met industriële automatisering en procesbesturing;
• Goede analytische vaardigheden en probleemoplossend vermogen;
• Uitstekende beheersing van de Nederlandse taal in woord en geschrift;
• Teamspeler met goede communicatieve vaardigheden.

As a Senior AI/ML Consultant in AWS Professional Services, you will lead the delivery of cutting-edge artificial intelligence and machine learning solutions for our enterprise customers. You'll drive innovation in Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning, shape technical strategy, and serve as a trusted advisor to customers throughout their AI transformation journey.

Key job responsibilities
1. Lead end-to-end delivery of complex AI/ML engagements, from strategic planning through to pre-production deployment and optimisation
2. Architect and implement advanced solutions leveraging AWS's AI/ML services, with particular focus on Generative AI using Amazon Bedrock and SageMaker
3. Provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior consultants while driving best practices across delivery teams
4. Partner with customers to translate business challenges into measurable ML outcomes and clear delivery roadmaps
5. Drive innovation in applied AI/ML, contributing to methodologies and reusable solutions across the practice
6. Influence customer AI strategy through technical expertise and industry insights
7. Lead multi-disciplinary teams and coordinate across stakeholder groups to deliver high-impact AI solutions
8. Provide thought leadership in internal and external engagements
9. Support pre-sales activities to provide technical expertise and review project scoping and risks

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS - Bachelor's degree, or experience in cloud based solution (AWS or equivalent), system, network and operating system
- Experience as technical specialist in design and architecture
- Experience in consulting, design and implementation of serverless distributed solutions
- Experience in software development with object oriented language
- Experience in data and machine learning engineering and cloud native technologies
- Experience building complex highly-scalable systems that involve predictive models or applications of machine learning
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS - Knowledge of AWS services including compute, storage, networking, security, databases, machine learning, and serverless technologies
- Experience in external or internal customer facing, complex and large scale project management
- Experience in database (eg. SQL, NoSQL, Hadoop, Spark, Kafka, Kinesis)
- Experience with Machine and Deep Learning toolkits such as MXNet, TensorFlow, Caffe and PyTorch
- Experience facilitating discussions with senior leadership regarding technical / architectural trade-offs, best practices, and risk mitigation
