Overview

As HR Manager - Central Europe, you will lead a hands-on, generalist HR function across Germany, Austria and Poland, supporting associates and the business. You'll manage a team of HR Advisors/Generalists while handling escalations and complex cases yourself. You will translate regional strategy into practical, local delivery and align plans with European targets. This role offers impact across corporate and retail environments, with a focus on employee relations, policy, and culture. You shape people processes and champion DE&I, wellbeing, and engagement in a multinational, matrixed setting.

Verantwoordelijkheden

• Lead and develop a team of HR Advisors/Generalists, while handling complex cases and key HR activities hands-on.
• Execute regional HR strategy with practical, local delivery across Central Europe and align with European targets.
• Oversee associate lifecycle activities including recruitment, performance management, and learning and development needs.
• Provide coaching on employee relations, manage complex casework, and ensure fair, compliant outcomes across Germany, Austria, and Poland.
• Drive change management, culture initiatives, DE&I, and wellbeing programs; act as HR ambassador and stakeholder liaison.

Belangrijkste vereisten

• Fluent in English; German proficiency is an asset.

• Proven multi-country HR experience with management of direct reports.

• Comfort working remotely across multiple locations in a matrixed environment.

• Strong employee relations, policy development, and multi-site operations experience.

• Knowledge of employment law for Germany, Austria, and Poland; union/Works Council navigation where applicable.

• Ability to travel up to 10-15% within the Central Europe territory.
