Functie-inhoud:

• Als Electrical Engineer ben je verantwoordelijk voor het ontwerpen, testen en implementeren van elektrische systemen en embedded elektronica;

• Ervaring met embedded systemen, gedistribueerde software en hardware debugging-technieken;

HSE is not a side issue here, you set how the work is done safely and, as work responsible person and installation responsible person, you put that on paper. Towards the client you are adviser and point of contact: you think along on choices, align with the manufacturer that commissions the systems, and keep the process on site running as tightly as possible. No management layer above you, but a direct line to the leadership and influence on how First Case sets up its work technically.

The essentials: Salary €4.900 to €5.900 per month · 38 hours per week · Fulltime · Based in Wateringen.

As Lead you earn €4.900 at entry, rising to €5.900 through the CAO pay grades. This is the highest technical role at First Case: there is no higher up the technical path.

• Extensive experience (8+ years) as an electrical engineer or engineer in commercial and industrial buildings, with responsibility for critical installations
• Knowledge of UPS systems and backup power, in-depth experience with them is a strong plus

Dit bedrijf is actief in de machinebouw en richt zich op de ontwikkeling en optimalisatie van mechanische producten. De R&D- en engineeringafdeling werkt zowel aan nieuwe producten als aan verbetering van het bestaande productportfolio en levert technische documentatie en werkinstructies voor test- en productiefasen. De organisatie werkt nauw samen met interne specialisten op het gebied van elektrotechniek en testapplicaties en onderhoudt relaties met externe partners voor uitbesteding van specialistisch werk. De rol van Mechanical Engineer is gericht op mechanische onderdelen en constructies en omvat het vertalen van marktkennis naar concrete ontwerpverbeteringen en innovatieve oplossingen. In Westwoud is er aandacht voor opleiding en ontwikkeling van medewerkers en worden medewerkers ondersteund bij het volgen van relevante opleidingen en trainingen. De arbeidsvoorwaarden volgen de CAO Metalelectro en er is ruimte voor een 32 – 40 uur per week indeling waarbij de functie zich richt op hands-on ontwikkeling en documentatie voor productie en testen. Functie-inhoud:

• Als Mechanical Engineer ben je verantwoordelijk voor het ontwerpen en verbeteren van mechanische onderdelen en constructies
• Je ontwikkelt mechanische onderdelen voor nieuwe producten en documenteert de uitgangspunten als Mechanical Engineer
• Je optimaliseert bestaande producten en stelt werkinstructies op voor de test- en productiefase
• Je maakt berekeningen, schema's en technische documentatie en zorgt dat deze beschikbaar zijn voor productie
• Je stemt af met Electrical Engineer en Application & Test Engineers en fungeert als vraagbaak voor collega’s

Summary of the role

The Technical Customer Engineer is responsible for providing on-site technical support, installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting services to customers throughout the North-West Piedmont region of Italy.

Working directly with customers, this role ensures the reliable operation and optimal performance of packaging equipment and systems, resolves technical issues efficiently, and delivers a high level of customer satisfaction.

The position requires strong technical expertise, a customer-focused approach, and frequent travel within the assigned territory.

In addition, the Technical Customer Engineer II collaborates closely with the Sales Team to identify service opportunities and contribute to the achievement of Service revenue and budget targets, supporting business growth and customer retention.

Role and Responsibilities

• Provide on-site technical support and service activities at customer locations throughout the North-West Piedmont region.
• Install, configure, maintain, and repair company equipment and systems according to established procedures.
• Diagnose and resolve hardware, software, and system-related issues in a timely manner.
• Document service activities, maintenance actions, and technical findings in accordance with company requirements.
• Manage customer service requests and effectively prioritize activities to meet service commitments.
• Collaborate closely with the Sales Team to identify service opportunities and achieve Service revenue and budget targets, supporting business growth and customer satisfaction.
• Establish and maintain strong customer relationships through professional communication and high-quality service delivery.
• Provide technical guidance and basic user training as needed.
• Ensure compliance with safety regulations, quality standards, and company policies while performing field activities.
• Maintain company tools, equipment, and service inventory in good working condition.
• Identify recurring issues and recommend improvements to enhance product performance and customer satisfaction.

Skills and Qualifications

• Electrician or electrical engineer or equivalent education and work experience ideally in the packaging industry.
• 3-5 years successful experience in industrial service or equipment installation is required.
• Experience with PLC troubleshooting required.
• Strong technical troubleshooting and analytical skills with the ability to diagnose and resolve complex equipment and system issues.
• Solid understanding of electromechanical, electronic, computer, and network-based systems.
• Ability to read, interpret, and apply technical documentation, manuals, and service procedures.
• Strong customer service orientation with the ability to build and maintain effective customer relationships.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills both Italian and English
• Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and make sound decisions in a fast-paced field environment.
• Strong organizational and time management skills
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, SAP C4C, and other service management and customer relationship management (CRM) tools.
• Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams, including Technical Support, Engineering, Operations, and Sales.
• Adaptability and willingness to learn new technologies, products, and procedures.
• Ability to identify service business opportunities while supporting customers in the field.

Travel requirements

• This position involves an estimated 70–80% travel commitment across the assigned North-West Piedmont territory.
• Willingness to travel and support customers outside the designated territory based on business requirements, customer needs, and operational priorities, including periodic international travel.
• Willingness to travel overnight as needed to maintain high service levels and ensure prompt customer support.

Als Engineer Elektrotechniek werk je aan het ontwerp en de realisatie van installaties in Terminal 3, pieren, bagagekelders, brandweerposten en andere cruciale luchthavenlocaties. Geen standaard utiliteitsprojecten, maar technisch uitdagende vraagstukken in een operationeel kritische, hoogbeveiligde omgeving waar veiligheid, continuïteit en duurzaamheid samenkomen en waar jouw oplossingen direct zichtbaar zijn.

Je krijgt de ruimte om zelf keuzes te maken, vooruit te denken en verantwoordelijkheid te nemen voor het eindresultaat.

Jouw missie

Je ontwerpt slimme, duurzame en toekomstbestendige installaties en bent vanaf de engineeringsfase betrokken bij renovaties, uitbreidingen en vervangingsprojecten. Concreet:

• Ontwerpen en engineeren van elektrotechnische installaties binnen complexe utiliteitsprojecten, van schetsontwerp tot en met uitvoeringsontwerp.
• Opstellen en controleren van kabel- en selectiviteitsberekeningen.
• Vertalen van klantvragen en ontwerpuitgangspunten naar technisch haalbare én maakbare oplossingen.
• Uitwerken van ontwerpdetails in BIM/Revit en het coördineren en controleren van tekenwerk en modellen.
• Toetsen van ontwerpen op kwaliteit, haalbaarheid en maakbaarheid — en knelpunten signaleren vóórdat ze in de uitvoering ontstaan.
• Technisch beoordelen van offertes van leveranciers.
• Samenwerken in multidisciplinaire ontwerpteams en jouw vakdiscipline vertegenwoordigen.

Bij BAM Bouw en Techniek op Schiphol werken ruim 200 collega's dagelijks aan het beheer, onderhoud en de ontwikkeling van cruciale luchthavenvoorzieningen: terminals, brandweerposten, Schiphol Plaza en parkeervoorzieningen. • Ervaring als Engineer Elektrotechniek, Electrical Engineer, Project Engineer of vergelijkbaar.
• Kennis van gebouwgebonden installaties binnen utiliteit, infra of een andere complexe technische omgeving.
• Ervaring met kabel- en selectiviteitsberekeningen.
• Kennis van NEN 1010 en bij voorkeur NEN 3140.
• Ervaring met BIM, Revit, AutoCAD of vergelijkbare software.
• Interesse in duurzame en energie-efficiënte oplossingen.
• Goede beheersing van de Nederlandse taal.
