As a Logistics Team Lead, you will lead and support a team of Logistics Specialists responsible for managing international shipments of health-related commodities to assigned countries. You will ensure smooth, timely, and cost-effective deliveries, compliance with import/export requirements, and achievement of client expectations and performance targets. You will also act as the main point of escalation for shipment issues, coordinate with internal and external stakeholders, and drive continuous improvement in logistics processes and team performance.
In addition, you will also be responsible for:

• Overseeing end-to-end international shipments, including documentation, customs clearance, delivery, and confirmation of receipt;
• Monitoring vendor and 3PL performance, ensuring OTIF targets are met and identifying opportunities to reduce delays and costs;
• Resolving shipment issues and incidents, coordinating corrective actions, and maintaining proactive communication with clients and other stakeholders;
• Ensuring accurate and up-to-date ERP data, country profiles, shipping instructions, and logistics reports;
• Ensuring compliance with SOPs and client requirements while identifying and implementing process improvements;
• Coaching and developing Logistics Specialists, managing performance, and coordinating onboarding and training;
• Managing logistics-related complaints, supporting claims and project closeouts, and preparing reports as required.

Requirements

To be successful in this position, you need strong leadership, organizational, and problem-solving skills, with a high level of attention to detail and the ability to manage competing priorities. You should be comfortable working with complex logistics processes, analyzing performance data, and driving continuous improvement. The following qualifications are required:

• Bachelor’s degree in supply chain operations, freight, accounting, data management, or a related field, or equivalent experience;
• 5+ years of progressive experience in complex supply chain and/or transport operations; experience in commercial supply chain organizations is preferred;
• People Management experience, for example, leading 1-1's, coaching, etc;
• Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office, particularly Word, Excel, and PowerPoint;
• Fluency in English and French , with strong communication, client relationship, and customer service skills;
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in international, multicultural teams, manage competing priorities, and meet tight deadlines;
• Willingness and availability to travel and perform other duties as required;
• Must be eligible to work in the Netherlands and already hold the required visa/work permit.

As a Logistics Specialist, you will serve as the global logistics expert and use your expertise to assist the assigned countries in your portfolio. You will be responsible for working within the import/export documentation requirements and managing the smooth shipment and delivery of health-related commodities. You will also be tasked with solving any transport or delivery issues in addition to communicating and providing excellent customer service to all stakeholders (internal and external).
In addition, you will also be responsible for:

• Monitoring and ensuring timely logistics execution of international transport of goods ;
• Managing the shipment process, including documentation, notifications and proof of delivery;
• Identifying shipment delays/issues and communicating the issues to stakeholders;
• Maintaining and updating ERP system at the order and shipment levels;

Requirements

To be successful in this position and organization, a high level of priority management and attention to detail is needed. They work with complex systems, so you must be able to understand and know the value of processes. Next to this, here are the hard skills that are required:

• Bachelor’s Degree in logistics, transportation, supply chain management, public health, or other related area or equivalent experience;
• 3+ years’ experience in international supply chain operations, transport, or logistics (working with 3PL's), where you have monitored and managed actual shipments, import/export management;
• Excellent knowledge of  French ; Professional level of English is also required.
• Must be eligible to work in The Netherlands and already live within commutable distance.

Bij ons krijg je geen standaard traineeship, maar een intensief leertraject waarin je in korte tijd enorme stappen zet. Je ontwikkelt je zowel technisch als persoonlijk en leert hoe je de theorie uit je studie vertaalt naar concrete oplossingen voor echte businessvraagstukken. Wat ga je doen?

Tijdens het traineeship start je met een intensieve ontwikkelfase van vier weken, waarin leren en doen centraal staan. Je legt een stevige basis in data en AI en ontwikkelt zowel je technische kennis als je professionele vaardigheden.

• Technische skills: je gaat aan de slag met onder anderen Python, SQL, Machine Learning en Power BI. Je leert hoe je data kunt analyseren, verwerken en vertalen naar inzichten en oplossingen voor vraagstukken uit de praktijk.
• Persoonlijke ontwikkeling: je werkt aan je communicatie, samenwerking, presentatievaardigheden en professioneel handelen. Zo leer je niet alleen hoe je data inzet, maar ook hoe je jouw ideeën helder overbrengt en effectief samenwerkt met collega's en opdrachtgevers.

Daarnaast pas je de kennis die je opdoet toe in een gezamenlijke praktijkopdracht met je medetrainees. Zo leer je niet alleen de theorie, maar ontdek je ook hoe je deze in de praktijk gebruikt. Dit vormt de basis voor jouw verdere ontwikkeling tijdens het traineeship en je carrière in data en AI.

Samen met je medetrainees werk je aan een gezamenlijke praktijkopdracht, waarin je alles wat je leert direct toepast. Zo maak je de overstap van theorie naar praktijk vanaf dag één.
