Role and Responsibilities

• Act as a primary point of contact for customers and internal stakeholders across Europe.
• Create and process quotations and customer orders using SAP and related systems.
• Manage customer inquiries received via email, telephone, and ticketing systems.
• Provide customers with accurate updates regarding orders, deliveries, and requests.
• Handle returns, warranty claims, credit requests, and other after-sales activities.
• Resolve customer issues and coordinate appropriate escalation when required.
• Collaborate with Sales, Finance, Warehouse, Operations, and Technical Support teams.
• Ensure accurate data entry and maintenance of customer and order information.
• Proactively follow up on open quotations, orders, and customer requests.

Summary of the role

The Associate Commercial Lab Engineer supports safe, effective, and efficient testing activities in the European demonstration center. Working under the guidance of senior lab engineering, sales, or business development colleagues, this role assists with equipment setup, test execution, documentation, lab organization, and preparation of customer demonstrations. This position is ideal for an early-career technical professional looking to develop product, application, and customer-facing skills while contributing to commercial opportunities and laboratory excellence across the European sales organization.

Role and Responsibilities

• Support customer tests and demonstrations in the European demonstration center, under supervision.
• Assist with preparation, setup, operation, and clean-up of lab equipment for defined test scenarios.
• Follow established safety procedures and laboratory standards when working with equipment, materials, hand tools, power tools, and electrical systems.
• Document test conditions, observations, results, equipment settings, and relevant technical details accurately and consistently.
• Coordinate with senior colleagues, engineering, sales, and application specialists to understand test objectives and priorities.
• Help maintain the lab in a clean, organized, safe, and audit-ready condition.
• Execute basic maintenance tasks on the lab and demo equipment.
• Conduct basic training sessions for both internal teams and external customers
• Assist with tracking lab supplies, consumables, tools, and equipment readiness, escalating needs for replenishment or maintenance.
• Contribute to basic troubleshooting and problem-solving during tests, escalating complex issues as appropriate.
• Develop product and application knowledge across relevant Nordson ICS product lines.
• Support preparation of test summaries, customer-facing information, and internal updates as requested.

Skills and Qualifications

• Associate degree, bachelor's degree, vocational qualification, or equivalent technical training in engineering, mechatronics, electrical, mechanical, industrial, or a related technical discipline preferred.
• 0-2 years of experience in a technical, laboratory, manufacturing, service, engineering, or customer-support environment.
• Strong attention to detail with the ability to document technical information accurately and consistently.
• Good communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams and customer-facing personnel.
• Basic proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.

As a QA Compliance Specialist, you will help strengthen the site's Quality Management System (QMS) and support compliance with GMP, regulatory requirements, and Lonza Global Quality Standards. Working across functions, you will contribute to inspection readiness, quality systems, supplier management, and continuous improvement activities that support the delivery of high-quality medicines and services.

This is a fully site-based role. Working together in person supports close, real-time collaboration and the technical precision needed to manufacture medicines to the highest quality and safety standards.

The full-time annual base pay for this position in is expected to range between EUR 41,250 and EUR 57,750. Initial salary placement within this range will be determined based on role-related factors such as experience, qualifications, and expected contribution.

What you will do:

• Support the site's Quality Management System, including quality documentation, training administration, quality records, and related quality systems activities.
• Contribute to the review and management of deviations, CAPAs, change controls, risk assessments, and other quality system processes, helping maintain an effective and compliant QMS.
• Coordinate supplier and service provider qualification activities, supplier complaints, and vendor change notifications in collaboration with site and global stakeholders.
• Support material setup and supplier lifecycle management activities as part of the site's wider quality and compliance framework.
• Support internal, customer, and external audits and regulatory inspections, helping maintain inspection readiness across the site.
• Deliver or support GMP and compliance-related training and awareness activities, working with colleagues across functions to strengthen quality culture.

What we are looking for:

• A bachelor's degree in Life Sciences, Biotechnology, Pharmacy, Chemistry, or a related discipline, or equivalent relevant experience.
• Experience working in a GMP-regulated pharmaceutical, biotechnology, medical device, or similar quality environment is advantageous.
• Working knowledge of GMP principles, Quality Management Systems, and quality compliance requirements.
• Strong organizational and documentation skills, with attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
• Effective communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work confidently with colleagues and stakeholders across different functions.
