You're a professionally trained chef with a solid culinary foundation, ready to take your skills to the next level.
- You have completed professional culinary training and have relevant kitchen experience.
- You have a good command of essential cooking techniques and an eye for detail.
- You work in an organised way, even during busy services.
- You're open to feedback and motivated to develop your culinary skills.
- You live in Amsterdam or the surrounding area, within a maximum commuting time of one hour from the hotel.
Previous experience in a Michelin-starred restaurant is not required. Your culinary skills, motivation and ambition to improve are what matter most.
What do we offer?
- €19.59 gross per hour, including holiday pay and holiday allowance.
- 38-40 hours per week, working lunch and dinner services.
- Weekly payment of all hours worked.
- Travel allowance for commuting distances of more than 5 km.
- Personal training budget for professional courses and development.
- Personalised support during onboarding and throughout your development.
- The opportunity to work under a chef with Michelin-starred experience, contributing to the restaurant's ambition to return to a high culinary standard.
- An exceptional workplace in an iconic, historic luxury hotel.
This is your opportunity to work with premium ingredients, learn from an experienced chef and contribute to the culinary future of a remarkable restaurant.
Are you ready to show what you're capable of?

Some kitchens teach you a position. This kitchen teaches you a completely different way of cooking.
In just four months, this restaurant has established itself as one of Amsterdam's most talked-about dining destinations. From breakfast through dinner, guests come here to experience a modern Mediterranean menu built around bold flavours, seasonal ingredients and beautifully balanced dishes.
The concept has proven itself. Guests are returning, reviews are strong and the restaurant is thriving. Now it's time to strengthen the kitchen team with chefs who want to continue building on that success.
Learn a culinary philosophy that has inspired chefs around the world
You'll be working according to the culinary vision of one of the world's most influential chefs, internationally recognised for redefining modern Mediterranean cuisine. His restaurants and cookbooks have inspired millions of people worldwide and changed the way chefs think about vegetables, herbs, spices and flavour.
Although he is not based in Amsterdam, his philosophy is brought to life every day by the Executive Chef on site, who worked closely alongside him for many years and knows every detail of the concept.
During your first weeks, you'll receive hands-on training in the recipes, techniques and standards that make this kitchen so distinctive.
No previous experience with Mediterranean cuisine is required.
If you have a recognised culinary qualification, at least two years of professional kitchen experience and the motivation to learn, we'll teach you everything else.
A menu unlike anywhere else

Fresh herbs, seasonal vegetables, citrus, tahini, za'atar, sumac and bold spices play a leading role. The menu changes every season, giving you the opportunity to work with new ingredients, techniques and dishes throughout the year.
This style of cooking is rarely found at this level in the Netherlands, making it a unique opportunity to broaden your culinary expertise and add something truly distinctive to your CV.
Cooking for an international audience
Serving more than 100 guests a day, you'll work in a fast-paced environment where teamwork, consistency and attention to detail are essential.
You'll be part of a brigade consisting of an Executive Chef, Sous Chef and four Chef de Parties, covering the cold section, grill, entremetier and pastry. Each service is delivered by a close-knit team of around five chefs working together to maintain exceptional standards.
Your role
As Chef de Partie, you'll take ownership of your own section and ensure everything is prepared for a smooth and successful service.
Your responsibilities include:
- Preparing mise en place to the highest standards.
- Cooking and plating dishes with consistency and precision.
- Maintaining quality, presentation and pace throughout service.
- Working closely with your colleagues to deliver an exceptional guest experience.
- Continuously developing your knowledge of modern Mediterranean cuisine.
Who are you?
You have a recognised culinary qualification and at least two years of experience in a professional kitchen.
You also:
- Stay organised and perform well under pressure.
- Are eager to learn new techniques and flavours.
- Take ownership of your section.
- Enjoy working as part of a professional team.
- Have the ambition to keep developing as a chef.
Experience with this specific style of cuisine isn't essential. Your attitude, motivation and willingness to learn matter far more.
What we offer
- A gross monthly salary of €3,100, including holiday allowance and accrued holiday pay.
- Extensive hands-on training in a unique Mediterranean kitchen.
- Daily coaching from the Executive Chef who helped bring this internationally recognised restaurant concept to life.
- The opportunity to work within one of the world's leading luxury hotel brands.
- Excellent career development opportunities within both the restaurant and the international hotel group.
- Experience that will strengthen your CV and open doors for your future culinary career.
- Optional shared accommodation for international professionals relocating to the Netherlands. This accommodation is intended as a temporary starting solution for approximately six months. The cost is €495 for the first month, followed by €695 per month thereafter. Accommodation consists of a shared bedroom (bed space) with clean, well-maintained shared facilities, including a kitchen, bathrooms and showers.
Build your future
A recent internal promotion from Chef de Partie demonstrates that career progression here isn't just something we talk about-it's something we actively support.
Show commitment, continue developing your skills and seize the opportunities available, and you'll find exciting career paths not only within the restaurant but across an international luxury hotel group with properties around the world.
Ready for your next challenge?
Opportunities like this don't come around often.
You'll develop your skills in a restaurant with a unique culinary identity, receive training based on one of the world's most influential Mediterranean cooking styles, work with an international team and serve guests who expect the very highest standards every day.
If you're ready to take the next step in your culinary career, we'd love to hear from you.
