You'll be embedded in a lean, senior investment team, working across the full lifecycle of a deal from first contact to close. That means tracking emerging companies before they become obvious, running the commercial and technical side of due diligence, synthesising market intelligence into investment theses, and representing the fund at industry events where relationships are made. You won't be siloed. You'll see everything and be expected to have a view on it.

• You actively scout, analyse, and track the most promising start-ups and technologies worldwide
• You work side by side with Partners and Principals in all aspects of due diligence, from market to finance to technical deep-dives and team analysis
• You explore new frontiers by delivering sharp sector insights and actionable market intelligence
• You contribute to marketing, conference planning, deal flow monitoring, ESG assessments, audits, financial and Supervisory Board reporting, and process optimization

Who we are looking for

• A postgraduate in physics, electrical engineering, or a related technical discipline
• Someone who finds the business logic of deep tech genuinely interesting - not just the science
• Clear, structured thinking and the ability to communicate it well, both in writing and in person
• Someone who builds relationships naturally and takes follow-through seriously
• Fluent English; other European languages welcome

Van het ontwikkelen van slimme AI-toepassingen en machine learning-modellen tot het bouwen van dataplatformen en het verbeteren van bedrijfsprocessen: organisaties gebruiken data op steeds meer manieren. Daardoor ontstaan er voortdurend nieuwe rollen en carrièremogelijkheden.

Van bètamaster naar Data Expert

Je start met een intensieve ontwikkelfase van vier weken. Je werkt onder anderen aan je technische kennis van Python, SQL, Machine Learning en Power BI, maar ontwikkelt ook je communicatie, presentatievaardigheden en samenwerking. Tijdens een gezamenlijke praktijkopdracht breng je je nieuwe kennis direct in de praktijk.

Daarna ga je aan de slag bij een opdrachtgever en werk je mee aan echte data- en AI-vraagstukken. Afhankelijk van jouw achtergrond, interesses en ambities kun je doorgroeien naar een rol als Data Engineer, Data Analyst, Data Scientist, AI Engineer, Machine Learning Specialist of Business Intelligence Specialist. Ook buiten deze functietitels liggen er volop mogelijkheden.

Je krijgt begeleiding van een Talent Manager en blijft jezelf ontwikkelen, ook nadat je bij een opdrachtgever bent gestart. Zo werk je toe naar een carrière waarin je jouw analytische talent inzet voor vraagstukken die er echt toe doen. Binnen ongeveer een jaar kun je doorgroeien tot een volwaardig Data Expert.

Your Expertise: 

To be successful in this role, we are looking for candidates with the following qualifications and attributes:

• 3 - 5 years of relevant working experience with strong knowledge of Python and object-oriented programming.
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mathematics, Computer Science, Physics, Engineering, Statistics, or a related field.
• Experience in trading houses is a plus.
• Strong analytical, quantitative, and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities with excellent proficiency in English.
• Proactive and adaptable to shifting priorities.
