Overview

As a Senior Consultant: Forward Deployed Engineer, you will connect enterprise data and systems to enable AI-powered decision making for finance operations. You'll work directly with client teams to translate business needs into scalable data and AI-enabled solutions, from discovery through production deployment. The role blends engineering with business understanding to deliver trusted analytics, agents, and workflows that support planning, reporting, and treasury. You'll join EY's Finance Data & Agentic solution team, driving transformation in a collaborative, open culture.

Verantwoordelijkheden

• Understand business requirements and define solutions aligned with client needs
• Design data and integration architectures; specify data requirements and acceptance criteria
• Develop data pipelines, governance, and lakehouse/analytic solutions on Fabric, Databricks, or Snowflake
• Build analytics products and agent-based workflows that connect to ERP and planning systems
• Apply AI tools in a controlled development lifecycle; review code and validate results
• Own deployment, monitoring, and incident resolution; support adoption and create reusable components

Belangrijkste vereisten

• Hands-on data platform engineering or software engineering with production delivery experience

• Strong Python and SQL; experience with APIs and enterprise integration

• Experience with Microsoft Fabric (Lakehouse), or Databricks/Snowflake; ability to transfer skills between platforms

• Understanding of orchestration, data quality, security, performance, and monitoring; experience with GitHub or Azure DevOps

• Experience using AI coding tools and building AI applications or agents linked to enterprise data

• Knowledge of planning/forecasting, performance management, financial reporting, consolidation, treasury or risk

• Ability to work with business users, domain experts, and technology teams; English required; Dutch advantageous

• University Master's degree in Digital Business Administration, Business Economics, Financial Economics, Finance, Accounting & Control, or related field

• At least 3 years of professional experience

• Experience with Azure, Power BI; ERP/accounting/planning implementations; regulated financial services environment
