Overview

As Technical Director at Guerrilla in Amsterdam, you will steer the studio's technical strategy and execution across multiple disciplines, shaping the Decima engine usage and extensions. You will partner with art, design, production, and leadership to ensure technology enables the creative vision and scales across projects. You'll guide architectural decisions, engineering best practices, and long-term roadmaps while mentoring senior engineers and expanding technical leadership. This role offers impact across AAA titles, a world-class tech stack, and a chance to influence both online and single-player experiences at a renowned studio.

Verantwoordelijkheden

• Provide leadership to engineering teams across multiple disciplines
• Define and align technical strategy with creative goals
• Guide Decima engine roadmap, requirements, and feedback loop
• Assess technical risks and opportunities with production and Decima team
• Contribute to hiring, development, and organizational design within technology
• Ensure scalable, maintainable solutions aligned with project needs and studio goals

Belangrijkste vereisten

• Senior technical management experience in video games

• Shipping AAA games or large-scale technically ambitious projects

• Strong C++ programming background (current level for guiding the team)

• Experience in engine development, rendering/graphics, and systems programming
