Overview

In this role you will lead Google Cloud Logistics programs, overseeing daily logistics, material flow, and vendor coordination across 3PLs and data center partners. You will monitor SLAs and KPIs, and build business cases to improve processes and logistics. You will design forward and reverse logistics strategies aligned with long-term goals, drive automation, reduce MTTR, and optimize capacity. You will partner with cross functional teams, carriers, and vendors to scale operations and deliver impact across the organization.

Verantwoordelijkheden

• Oversee daily logistics operations, material flow, and vendor relationships (3PLs, data center vendors) including budgets, invoices, and capital improvements
• Monitor SLAs, KPIs, and vendor scorecards to ensure continuity and drive improvements
• Design and execute forward and reverse logistics strategies aligned with business goals
• Drive automation, reduce MTTR, optimize capacity, and remove obstacles in material flow
• Partner with internal teams, carriers, and external vendors to align priorities and scale operations
• Lead complex multi-disciplinary projects from requirements planning to execution across offices/time zones
• Implement changes in operations, standardize user documentation, and create processes to motivate action
• Prepare leadership-facing communications and presentations on operational performance and improvements

Belangrijkste vereisten

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience in Engineering, Supply Chain operations, or a related field

• 7 years of experience developing operational process solutions with cross-functional teams

• 5 years of experience analyzing data and generating business insights

• Ability to travel up to 50% within EMEA and APAC

• Preferred: Lean Six Sigma (Green/Black Belt) or PMP certification and evidence of process re-engineering or capacity modeling

As Area Lead, Google Cloud Logistics, you will oversee regional logistics fulfillment across the Americas, shaping a scalable 3PL network, warehousing, and trade compliance. You will monitor KPIs to meet SLOs, ensure safety, and drive cost savings and MTTR reduction. You will lead talent development to elevate team capabilities and operational excellence. You'll coordinate with cross functional partners to align logistics with Google's cloud ambitions, driving end to end optimization. This role blends strategic leadership with hands on execution to scale fast, deliver reliably, and enable growth.

• Monitor KPIs to ensure SLO achievement, safety compliance, and efficient project delivery.

Belangrijkste vereisten

• Bachelor in Engineering

• 13 years in supply chain, operations or related field (including 3PL supplier management, warehouse/fulfillment, automation, and MRP, WMS, or TMS), driving transformations, cost reduction, inventory optimization, and working capital improvements.

• 10 years managing and developing managers.

• Experience with material requirements planning, warehouse management, or transportation management systems, plus trade and compliance regulations.

• Experience with S&OP/IBP and D&OP management.

• Experience with or as a TPS practitioner, lean leader, 5S, or Gemba.

• Experience in supply chain activities across planning, procurement, production, logistics, and distribution in manufacturing, 3PL, omnichannel, or regulated industries.
