Wat ga je doen?

In de functie als Facility Engineer zorg je ervoor dat het datacenter veilig en operationeel blijft. Je houdt je onder andere bezig met:

• Uitvoeren van controles en inspecties;
• Reageren op alarmen en technische verstoringen;
• Ondersteunen bij onderhouds- en reparatiewerkzaamheden;
• Begeleiden van leveranciers op locatie;
• Oppakken van tickets en oplossen van technische en facilitaire problemen;
• Zorgen voor een veilige, nette en goed georganiseerde werkomgeving.

Tijdens de opstartfase van het datacenter ligt de nadruk op hands-on facilitaire werkzaamheden om de locatie operationeel te maken.

Requirements

Wat je nog meer krijgt

• Afhankelijk van je werkervaring ontvang je een basissalaris van €14,99 per uur

• Op basis van een fulltime werkweek (144 uur per 4 weken) bouw je 24 vakantiedagen op;

• Interessant werk met veel vrijheid en verantwoordelijkheid;

• Een bhv-cursus;

• Reiskostenvergoeding (als je geen vrij-reizen ov-kaart hebt);

Wanneer kan je bij ons starten?

• Afgeronde technische mbo-opleiding op minimaal niveau 2 (een sterke voorkeur gaat uit naar niveau 3) of een minimale niveau 3 opleiding.
• Goede mondelinge en schriftelijke communicatieve vaardigheden in zowel Nederlands als Engels.
• Voorkeur voor basiskennis van kritieke datacenterinfrastructuur (zoals brandblussystemen, UPS en koelsystemen).
• Basis computervaardigheden (MS Office), met bij voorkeur ervaring in Service Now en beheersystemen zoals BMS, CMMS en DCIM.

At DAF, our center of competence for engine development, you will join a dedicated, multidisciplinary team focused on designing and manufacturing premium, environmentally friendly engine families that set the standard in the global transportation industry.

As a System Function Design Engineer, you will play a critical role in developing advanced control functionalities for Heavy Duty Diesel powertrains. You will be instrumental in ensuring our products remain best-in-class by integrating sophisticated emission control, diagnostics, and engine management strategies in a state-of-the-art facility designed for future-proof engineering excellence.

What you will be doing

You will be at the heart of our technical development process, bridging the gap between requirements and high-performance control systems.

• Develop advanced control concepts and functionalities for Heavy Duty Diesel engine and powertrain systems, focusing on engine, aftertreatment, emission control, and diagnostics.
• Translate new emission, OBD, and product requirements into robust, implementable control strategies.
• Lead the development of emission-related controls and OBD/OBM concepts, including definition, specification, and alignment of system requirements.
• Share technical expertise across the group to help shape the vision for future engine concepts.
• Integrate control concepts using development environments such as SIL, HIL, and Rapid Control Prototyping (RCP) with testing at the engine and vehicle level.
• Act as a technical integrator between suppliers and PACCAR stakeholders to ensure alignment across software, calibration, and system-level behavior.
• Verify and validate control functionalities through comprehensive testing methodologies.
• Create and maintain clear, unambiguous documentation of controller requirements at the engine and aftertreatment system level.
• Support calibration engineers during the initial setup of newly developed functionalities.
• Assist in software implementation, object-code generation, and system integration.
• Drive continuous improvement of engineering tools and internal processes.
• Collaborate effectively within multidisciplinary project teams across software, calibration, and diagnostics.

Who you are

We are looking for a proactive technical professional with a passion for control engineering and a drive to contribute to sustainable transportation solutions.

• Strong background in Heavy Duty Diesel powertrain control systems or related automotive fields.
• Proven experience with control development environments, including SIL, HIL, and RCP.
• Deep understanding of OBD, OBM, and emission-related control strategies.

• Excellent collaborative skills with experience working in multidisciplinary engineering teams.
