Wat ga je doen?

Jij bent verantwoordelijk voor de bouw, het beheer en de optimalisatie van onze ICT-platforms.

• Werken aan een lokale cloudoplossing met moderne technologieën zoals microservices, containers en API’s.
• Ontwikkelen en beheren van platforms voor het digitaliseren van primaire processen.
• Implementeren van containerisatie, CI/CD-pipelines en monitoring en logging met o.a. Kubernetes, GitLab en Docker.
• Samenwerken met architecten om de beschikbaarheid en koppelingen van applicaties te bewaken.
• Monitoren van processen en databases en oplossen van incidenten binnen applicaties en ketens.

Wie ben jij?

Je bent een gedreven techneut die houdt van samenwerken en complexe uitdagingen.

• Ervaring met moderne cloudtechnologieën en containerisatie.
• Kennis van Kubernetes, GitLab en Docker.
• Analytisch vermogen om complexe applicatieketens te monitoren en incidenten op te lossen.
• Sterke communicatieve vaardigheden voor de samenwerking met architecten.

About this role

At the heart of our engineering organization is a commitment to delivering high-quality, resilient, and flawless software experiences. In this role, you will act as a quality advocate across the entire Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) - combining strong foundational QA methodologies, critical thinking, and human judgment with an enthusiasm for exploring modern, AI-assisted testing practices to drive efficiency and innovation.

You will join a cross-functional team that values bold ideas, technical excellence, and modern quality practices. Working closely with Product Managers and Developers from day one, you will shape requirements, build robust test automation, ensure system performance, and safeguard our release pipelines. You will have end-to-end ownership of quality - from the moment initial requirements are defined, all the way through to deployment and production monitoring.

Location: This role is based in our Enschede office

These are some of the key components to the position:

• End-to-End Quality Ownership: Take full ownership of quality for incoming features-participating in early requirement refinement, defining test strategies, executing automation, and supporting production deployments.
• Test Automation & Frameworks: Design, build, and maintain scalable API and E2E automation frameworks using Java, Kotlin, RestAssured, and Spring Boot.
• Pipeline & CI/CD Integration: Integrate automated test suites into our CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions to enable fast, reliable, and continuous feedback loops.
• Performance & Reliability: Plan and execute performance testing to identify bottlenecks and ensure high availability under peak loads.
• Observability & Monitoring: Use Datadog to monitor system behavior in pre-production and production environments, proactively tracking down bugs and metrics.
• Test Management & Traceability: Organize, document, and manage comprehensive test plans and execution reports using Jira and Zephyr Scale.

What will you bring to the team?

• Experience: At least 3+ years of professional experience in Quality Engineering or Software Testing.
• Technical Expertise: Hands-on experience using RestAssured and the Spring Boot ecosystem for API automation.
• E2E & Performance Testing: Proven track record in designing End-to-End test suites and executing performance/load testing.
• CI/CD & Tooling: Practical experience with GitHub Actions for automated build/test pipelines, along with hands-on usage of Postman, Zephyr Scale, Jira, and Datadog.
• DevOps & Quality Mindset: A shift-left testing approach, taking pride in catching issues early in requirement phases rather than late in testing.
• Communication: Fluent English skills and the ability to articulate quality risks and technical concepts clearly to cross-functional stakeholders.

Technical bonus points

• AI-Assisted Working: Experience with AI-augmented tools (e.g., Open Code, Claude Code, Kiro or Lumen) to accelerate test case generation, automation code, and troubleshooting.
• AI-DLC Knowledge: Familiarity with the AI Development Life Cycle and testing AI/LLM-integrated applications.
• Infrastructure & Cloud: Understanding of Docker, Kubernetes, and Cloud environments (AWS/GCP).
• Event-Driven Testing: Experience testing microservices architectures and messaging systems (e.g., Kafka, SQS).
