Overview

As Director, you will build and lead a new DevOps team delivering an AI and container management service for Equinix Managed Solutions. You will shape the technical vision, collaborate with product and operations, and ensure enterprise-scale availability. You'll drive cloud-native practices, automation, and seamless integration with global platforms. This is a chance to steer a strategic platform at scale and influence how customers experience managed services.

Verantwoordelijkheden

• Define the technical vision, architecture, and roadmap for the AI and Container Management Service
• Partner with Product Management to translate customer needs into platform capabilities
• Establish SLOs, operational standards, and governance for the service
• Drive adoption of cloud-native practices across engineering and operations
• Lead architecture and DevOps decisions for Kubernetes/OpenShift-based managed services
• Ensure scalability, resiliency, security, and operational readiness of the platform
• Automate provisioning, deployment, monitoring, and lifecycle management
• Collaborate with network, infrastructure, and security teams for seamless integration
• Identify gaps and risks, influencing stakeholders to implement improvements
• Provide input to senior leadership and communicate portfolio status and budgets
• Develop operational KPIs and improve service availability and customer experience
• Build and lead a high-performing global engineering and DevOps organization
• Drive talent development, succession planning, and career growth
• Foster ownership, innovation, operational excellence, and continuous improvement

Belangrijkste vereisten

• Director-level experience managing managers and delivering multiple software products or services

• Proven leadership of DevOps, Platform Engineering, or Site Reliability Engineering teams

• Strong operational experience with a highly available global service

• Experience delivering Kubernetes or OpenShift-based infrastructure at scale

• 15+ years of software development leadership experience

• Bachelor's in Engineering preferred
