As a parcel delivery driver, you are trusted to manage your own route and maintain a high level of service throughout the day. You enjoy working independently, stay organized during busy periods, and adapt easily to changing situations on the road. Your daily responsibilities as a parcel delivery driver include:

• Loading and organizing parcels in your delivery van before departure.
• Delivering shipments to both business and private customers throughout your assigned route.
• Using a route-planning app to navigate efficiently and stay on schedule.
• Collecting parcels from customers and companies during the day.
• Checking shipments and handling deliveries with care and accuracy.
• Providing friendly and professional service at every delivery address.

In this role as a parcel delivery driver, you combine driving with customer contact and practical logistics activities. Every working day brings variety, while clear processes and ongoing support help you perform your work with confidence and professionalism. No weekend shifts are required, allowing for a consistent work schedule and a healthy work-life balance.

Wat bieden we jou

• An hourly salary between €16.60 and €21.58, based on your experience.
• A temporary contract with the possibility of transitioning to a permanent position.
• A flexible work schedule of 24 to 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday, with no weekend shifts.
• Travel allowance of €0.23 per kilometer (from 5 km one-way) and free parking at the depot.
• 8% holiday allowance, 6.24% individual choice budget (IKB), and 23 vacation days based on a 40-hour workweek.

Functie-eisen

• Valid driver’s license B with 2+ years’ experience.
• Available 4–5 days weekly between 08:00–19:00.
• Physically fit; able to lift parcels up to 25 kg.

• Resides within 40 km of Nieuw-Vennep, e.g., Hoofddorp.

Wat je gaat doen

Do you enjoy driving, working independently, and providing excellent service? As a Parcel Delivery Driver at DHL Express, you'll be responsible for delivering parcels safely and on time to both residential and business customers throughout your assigned area.

As a courier at DHL Express in Nieuw-Vennep, you start your shift at the depot where you greet your colleagues, grab a coffee and check your route for the day. You load your van carefully, put on your DHL workwear and head out on your route in your region. Throughout the day je visit both private and business customers, scan and deliver parcels, handle short questions at the door and keep your administration up to date via your handheld scanner. At the end of your shift you return to the depot, hand in your equipment and have a quick chat with the planner or colleagues before you head home.

What you will do:

• Deliver parcels safely and on time to private and business customers in jouw regio.
• Use navigation and systems to plan and adjust your route during the day.
• Have short, friendly contact at the door and represent DHL Express professionally.
• Load and unload your van carefully and keep scans and signatures accurate.
• Drive safely, follow traffic rules and report any issues to the planner.

Wat we van je vragen

We are looking for someone who enjoys being on the road, takes responsibility, and likes working with customers.

• A Category B driving licence held for at least 1 year
• Previous experience driving a van, delivery van, or similar vehicle is a pre
• An MBO Level 3 qualification, equivalent international diploma, or a higher education level
• Availability of 24 to 40 hours per week
• Good communication skills in English and/or Dutch
• Physically capable of loading, unloading, and delivering parcels
• Comfortable working independently and following delivery schedules
