Overview

As Operations Lead at our Tiel plant, you will guide a team of up to 85, advancing safety, performance, and continuous improvement. You'll work alongside the Plant Manager to optimize operations and drive impactful outcomes in a high-volume manufacturing environment. Your leadership will shape a proactive safety culture and efficient end-to-end processes. This role offers a hands-on opportunity to influence plant success and contribute to CHEP's sustainability and operational excellence goals. You will partner across functions to deliver measurable improvements and maintain high standards.

Verantwoordelijkheden

• Mentor and coach employees, address relations issues, and foster a positive work environment.
• Lead safety performance on shift, promoting proactive safety culture through training and rehabilitation programs.
• Oversee shift maintenance activities and coordinate with maintenance team to prevent downtime.
• Drive continuous improvement across end-to-end operations to boost efficiency, quality, and cost-effectiveness.
• Monitor plant costs and yield with the Plant Manager to optimize performance.
• Address performance and attendance with HR to ensure operational expectations are met.
• Ensure compliance with CHEP procedures and work instructions.

Belangrijkste vereisten

• 3+ years in a fast-paced production/distribution operation with supervisory/management experience

• Experience leading Zero Harm initiatives including learning teams and risk assessments

• Proven track record in delivering high-performance teams in a blue-collar environment

• Strong understanding of production processes, quality, safety regulations, and industry standards

• Technical ability to understand and improve operation processes

• Strong written and verbal communication skills

• Problem-solving capability with rapid, effective solutions

• English proficiency; Dutch/German/Eastern European languages advantageous
