Overview

As Global Category Manager, you will develop and execute category strategies for global spend areas, partnering with stakeholders to translate requirements into sourcing plans. You will lead end-to-end strategic sourcing, drive supplier performance, and enable sustainable procurement that supports Vanderlande's transformation from ETO to CTO. You will manage supplier relationships and ensure value, risk mitigation, and cross-regional alignment. This role offers global impact in a dynamic, international environment with opportunities to shape procurement excellence.

Verantwoordelijkheden

• Manage assigned categories globally, translate requirements into sourcing plans and support contracting and onboarding processes
• Lead or support strategic and complex sourcing events, including RfX creation, proposal evaluation, and negotiations
• Develop and implement strategies to mitigate supplier risks and ensure business continuity
• Serve as primary contact for supplier performance, facilitating communication between suppliers and internal stakeholders
• Support supplier segmentation and tailor performance management approaches
• Identify performance gaps and oversee supplier improvement programs
• Review Purchase Requisitions for non-catalog items when needed and coordinate Item Master Data changes with MDM specialists

Belangrijkste vereisten

• University degree in economics or technical degree with business background

• Fluent in English (spoken and written)

• 3+ years in procurement or supply chain, with strong category management understanding

• Experience with sourcing methodologies and familiarity with S2P suites

• Proven ability to manage sourcing events, stakeholder communication, and process execution

• Experience in documenting and standardizing category coordination

• Excellent communication and collaboration skills for cross-functional work

• Ability to travel internationally up to 30%
