Overview

As Senior Cost Manager, you oversee cost control across a diverse project portfolio and support project managers with budget oversight, change management, and reporting. You will engage both with clients and internal teams, ensuring accurate cost evaluations and transparent communication throughout the project lifecycle. You'll help optimize costs through value engineering and robust cost processes within the Netherlands team. This role leverages AECOM's global network to deliver cost excellence in large-scale infrastructure projects.

Verantwoordelijkheden

• Monitor and control project budgets with ongoing cost reviews and trend analysis
• Advise on value engineering and cost optimization to keep projects within budget
• Coordinate variations process and manage change orders, including evaluation of client changes and contra charges
• Review and approve contractor invoices, prepare interim payment certificates, and oversee final accounts
• Attend and contribute to regular cost meetings and produce monthly cost reports
• Deliver cost advisory services and support cost analysis for internal stakeholders and clients
• Maintain effective communication with project teams, contractors, and clients to ensure alignment
• Develop efficient cost management system for the energy sector
• Participate in the bid process, supporting pricing for cost management services

Belangrijkste vereisten

• In-depth knowledge of Dutch cost management practices and the local market

• Fluency English and Dutch preferred

• Minimum of 10 years' experience in a similar role

• High degree of accuracy and ability to work under pressure

• Strong team orientation and customer focus

• Advanced proficiency in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and MS Project

• Membership in the Institution of Chartered Surveyors is preferred
