Sorting packages! That’s in a nutshell what you’ll be doing as a logistics employee. On a daily basis we get a lot of trucks that arrive at the warehouse of DPD Veenendaal. These trucks get unloaded by hand. You put every package on a big assembly line by hand. Then the packages get scanned and sorted automatically. At the end of the assembly line the packages only need to be put on the right container. That’s all! It’s not a difficult job, but it can be a heavy job!
At DPD Veenendaal you will join a nice international team. There is an informal atmosphere in the warehouse. Maybe your next best friend is already working there?! So, what exactly does a logistics employee do at PostNL Zaltbommel? As a transfer and storage location for PostNL, you will be working with your colleagues to load and unload trucks. Drivers come and go throughout the day. You will assist them by unloading roll containers and placing them in the correct storage areas. You will do this at a steady pace, allowing the drivers to get back on the road quickly. If an empty truck arrives, you will help with loading, ensuring the correct containers go with the driver. Since trucks arrive at various times, your work operates on a rotating shift schedule.
As a logistics employee, you will be part of an international team. Together you will ensure each driver sends the correct roll containers out. Drivers come and go frequently, and team leaders are open to your ideas if you see ways to improve the process. The process manager and (assistant) team leaders are also from the Tempo Team.
