Who you are

What will you do
As a Drawing Operator, you lay the foundation for fast communication by drawing optical fibers. You work accurately and independently. The main tasks you will perform are:

• Operating, setting up, and monitoring advanced process installations;
• Identifying anomalies and independently making adjustments to the process;
• You speak English or Dutch good;
• Performing checks and first-line maintenance on the installations;
• Actively contributing to improvements, including through 5S and continuous improvement methodologies;
• Working flexibly across multiple production areas, which provides variety and opportunities for personal development.

Where will you work
You will be working for the world's largest producer of optical fiber, starting on the day shift (however, you will immediately receive the shift allowance to make it appealing). Flexibility is required for this new project, as operations will transition to a 2-shift system, and eventually to a 5-shift system once everyone is fully onboarded.

A 5-shift system means you will work 2 days from 06:00 to 14:00, 2 days from 14:00 to 22:00, and 2 nights from 22:00 to 06:00. After this, you will have 4 days off before your schedule starts over. Twice a year, the company switches to a 4-shift schedule, which offers less regularity in your shift pattern.

*5 ploegen houdt in dat je 2 dagen werkt van 06:00 – 14:00u, 2 dagen van 14:00 – 22:00u en 2 nachten van 22:00 – 06:00u. Hierna ben je 4 dagen vrij en dan begint je rooster weer opnieuw. Twee keer per jaar schakelt dit bedrijf om naar een 4 ploegenrooster, waarbij je een stuk minder regelmaat hebt in je rooster.

Jouw werkdag als productiemedewerker bij Zehnder is afwisselend en interessant:

Je begint je dag om kwart voor zeven, pakt een kop koffie en zoekt je team op. Samen met je collega's en jouw technische handigheid ga je complete ventilatiekasten in elkaar zetten. Je leest de instructies, pakt het juiste gereedschap en zet alles netjes in elkaar. Een klokje helpt je om op tijd te blijven, zodat je elk onderdeel goed af krijgt en door kunt naar de volgende kast. Geen dag is hetzelfde!

A super varied job where thanks to you, everyone receives their favorite products right on time!

During your first week, you'll start on either the morning or afternoon shift. So you can quickly get to know the warehouse and your new colleagues! If it's a good match, even better! Then you'll join the rotation schedule. One week you work the morning shift from 06:00h to 14:45h. And the next week the afternoon shift from 14:45h to 23:30h. What will you do
Morning work at PostNL is a bit different from the evening shifts, so let me explain! Your day as a logistic employee always starts with a team kick-off. You'll discuss the previous day's numbers and the plan for the day ahead. After this quick chat, you'll dive right in! One group of colleagues will unload the freight, ensuring the other group can quickly get to work feeding the conveyor belt. This means manually placing all the packages onto the belt. It's easy to grasp, but some packages can be heavy, so get ready to flex those muscles! Finally, the packages will travel via the sorting belt to the delivery drivers, who then load their vans and head out to make customers happy! #baanrader

• Please note: You're done when the work is done, so your finish time might even be later than 12h30.

Where will you work
You'll be working at PostNL in Born. The warehouse is located at Holtum-Noordweg 107 and is easily accessible by your own transport. Together with an international team, you'll be making tons of people happy with their package deliveries! It's hard work, but our team leaders regularly provide delicious treats on the work floor as a token of appreciation. Plus, there are plenty of opportunities to grow as a logistic employee! You could even follow an internal training course to become an assistant team leader! To be considered for this exciting role, we do ask that you:
