At Picnic, you will work in the distribution center in Zwolle. You are responsible for picking the groceries ordered by customers. To pick orders you will be doing a lot of walking, which can be around 15 kilometers a day!

Picnic in Zwolle operates with multiple shifts. From Monday to Sunday, there are two shifts: 06:00-15:00 & 15:00-00:00. During the week, a shorter shift is also available: 18:00-00:00. You determine which shifts you work as a Logistics employee, but weekend availability is required.

The packages come in with our trucks, and it’s your job, along with your colleagues, to unload them. After that, you’ll take all the rolling containers to the right spot. A team of colleagues will be there to place the packages on the conveyor belt. After a smooth journey on the belt, they’ll reach the sorting department, where the packages are sorted by postcode. Sounds simple, but don’t be fooled! You’ll need to stay sharp. Can you spot the difference between 5665 and 5656 in just a few seconds? Also, the packages can weigh up to 25 kg. Think of it as a workout, and you’re getting paid for it! Once all the packages are sorted, your shift is done!

Who you are

What will you do

As a key part of the warehouse team, you will use an English voice-picking system to accurately collect and move products to their designated locations. You will carefully stack items on pallets, seal them, and get them ready for shipping. Your contribution is essential!

Where will you work

But what exactly does a warehouse employee do? At PostNL SKP in Nieuwegein, there are 2 departments where you will work in rotation. In the SKP department, mainly work with smaller parcels. You will put all these parcels on the conveyor belt or help the robots sort packages. Then they also have the NMG department. In this department, all parcels that are too large for the sorting machine are sorted. This can be anything and everything. For example a lamp, a car tire, or maybe a mirror for the neighbor. Together with your colleagues, you make sure that these parcels are brought up, scanned, and put back in the right roll container. This way the package can be delivered to the customer on time! All our colleagues can speak Dutch or English, so maybe you will learn a word or two!

Where will you work

The sorting center of PostNL Nieuwegein SKP is located at the industrial area Plettenburg-De Wiers Zuid. PostNL SKP is slightly different from the other PostNL locations.
