Functieomschrijving

As a grinder, you play an essential role in the production process. You ensure that all components are finished to perfection and meet the high quality standards upheld by the company.

Your responsibilities include:

• Reviewing and assessing route cards, technical drawings, and work instructions.
• Performing an LMRA and taking all necessary safety precautions before starting work.
• Setting up and preparing the required equipment.
• Operating electric grinding tools to carefully finish surfaces and weld seams.
• Registering and scanning completed tasks in the system.
• Visually inspecting the final result, with close attention to the quality of weld seams.
• Contributing to a safe, organized, and clean working environment.

Functie eisen

We are looking for motivated candidates who meet the following requirements:

• You hold a VCA-Basic and Aerial Work Platform (Hoogwerker) certificate , or you are willing to obtain these in the near future.
• You have sufficient command of Dutch or English to communicate safely and clearly in the workplace.
• You have experience in the metal industry or have completed a technical education related to metalworking.

Within the Toolshop, cutting tools are designed, manufactured and maintained in-house to support production. You'll work with advanced machinery, specialised software and experienced colleagues in an environment where quality and continuous improvement are part of the daily routine.

Functie

• Develop and improve new and existing cutting tools, including milling cutters and drills
• Program grinding cycles using ANCA software
• Program measuring routines using Zoller Genius
• Inspect and measure cutting tools
• Perform CNC grinding on ANCA grinding machines
• Carry out conventional tool grinding when required
• Manage tooling and material inventory
• Work in accordance with the strict quality standards of the aerospace industry

Functie-eisen

• MBO-level education or equivalent technical working and thinking level
• Experience in machining or tool grinding is an advantage
• CNC Machinists who want to develop into Tool Grinders are encouraged to apply
• Good command of the English language, both spoken and written
• Analytical, accurate and solution-oriented

• Available to work in a two-shift schedule

wie ben jij
Als slijper bij KLM Engine Services moet je aan de volgende eisen voldoen:

• Je bent in het bezit van een mbo-diploma richting Verspanen of een BBL-opleiding Frezen, Draaien of Slijpen.
• Je beschikt over aantoonbare kennis en ervaring met CNC en CAD/CAM.
• Je spreekt de Nederlandse of Engelse taal.
• Je bent fulltime beschikbaar voor 40 uur per week.
• Je bent bereid om te werken in 2-ploegendienst (om de week dag- en avonddienst van ma-vr).
• Je beschikt over eigen vervoer of kunt met het OV op locatie komen.
• Je voldoet aan de eisen voor een veiligheidsscreening (VGB) binnen de luchtvaart.

wat ga je doen
Samen met jouw team van specialisten voer je precisiebewerkingen uit aan onderdelen van vliegtuigmotoren en landmotoren. Je stelt CNC-gestuurde en conventionele machines in en verwerkt digitale instructies. Veiligheid en kwaliteit staan voorop, dus ook administratieve registratie hoort erbij.

• Slijpen, frezen en draaien van motoronderdelen
• Programmeren en instellen van CNC-machines en robots
• Bewerken van componenten zoals Rotors en Combustion Cases
• Administratieve verwerking volgens luchtvaartnormen
