who are you

• You hold a Bachelor’s degree (HBO) in Life Sciences, Computer Science, or possess equivalent experience in a similar role.
• You have a minimum of 2 years of experience in the pharmaceutical industry with dedicated GMP and automation responsibilities.
• You have hands-on experience in software development and validation; previous laboratory experience or Computer System Validation (CSV) is a major plus.
• You possess demonstrable experience with Empower in a GxP environment, preferably including custom fields.
• You have excellent written and verbal English communication skills (Dutch is a nice-to-have).
• You are familiar with, or eager to work with, systems such as SoftMax Pro, SDMS, Deskman, LIMS, 32 Karat, Comet, GAMP 5, 21 CFR Part 11, or Lean/Six Sigma methodologies.

what will you do
As an Empower Automation Specialist, you will step up as Subject Matter Expert for automation topics within our QC Laboratories. You will build and deliver automated methods using Empower, ensure absolute data integrity, and guide software implementations seamlessly. From day-to-day troubleshooting to high-impact global software initiatives, your work ensures our systems operate flawlessly while maintaining strict compliance. Your daily responsibilities include:

• Leading the technical implementation of new Empower projects for analytical instruments (ranging from HPLCs and UPLCs to PA800s) alongside cross-functional teams.
• Implementing and maintaining Empower solutions while actively identifying opportunities to switch to paperless workflows.
• Creating and maintaining administrative, technical installation, and maintenance procedures.
• Taking full ownership of data integrity practices, including backup strategies and disaster recovery planning.
• Providing timely support, software validation, and troubleshooting for computerized system challenges as part of the core support team.
• Delivering validated methods to laboratories to enable innovative testing approaches for new products.
• Participating in laboratory systems initiatives and projects in close cooperation with our global organization.

wie ben jij
Je bent een proactieve self-starter die uitblinkt in het vertalen van complexe bedrijfsbehoeften naar betrouwbare, hoogwaardige technische oplossingen. Met je scherpe analytische vermogen en uitstekende probleemoplossende vaardigheden zorg je dat systemen ook onder druk soepel blijven draaien. Je hebt een scherp oog voor detail, waardoor het opstellen van nauwkeurige documentatie en het waarborgen van data-integriteit voor jou een tweede natuur zijn. Als een coöperatieve teamspeler leg je gemakkelijk contact met stakeholders op alle organisatieniveaus. Dit is wat we van je vragen:

• Je bent in het bezit van een bachelordiploma (HBO) in Life Sciences, Computer Science, of hebt gelijkwaardige ervaring in een soortgelijke functie.
• Je hebt minimaal 2 jaar ervaring in de farmaceutische industrie met specifieke verantwoordelijkheden op het gebied van GMP en automatisering.
• Je hebt praktijkervaring met software ontwikkeling en validatie. Laboratorium ervaring of Computer System Validation (CSV) is een grote pre.
• Je hebt aantoonbare ervaring met Empower in een GxP-omgeving, bij voorkeur inclusief 'custom fields'.
• Je hebt uitstekende schriftelijke en mondelinge communicatieve vaardigheden in het Engels (Nederlands is een pre').

wat ga je doen
Als Automation Specialist treed je op als Subject Matter Expert (SME) voor automatiseringsvraagstukken binnen onze QC labs. Je bouwt en levert geautomatiseerde methoden met behulp van Empower, waarborgt absolute data-integriteit en begeleidt software-implementaties naadloos. Van het oplossen van dagelijkse storingen tot software-initiatieven met een wereldwijde impact: jouw werk zorgt ervoor dat onze systemen foutloos functioneren met behoud van strikte compliance. Jouw dagelijkse verantwoordelijkheden bestaan uit:

• Het leiden van de technische implementatie van nieuwe Empower-projecten voor analytische instrumenten (variërend van HPLC's en UPLC's to PA800's) in samenwerking met cross-functional teams.
• Het implementeren en onderhouden van Empower-oplossingen, waarbij je actief kansen signaeert om over te stappen op papierloze workflows.
• Het opstellen en onderhouden van administratieve, technische installatie- en onderhoudsprocedures.
• Het nemen van de volledige verantwoordelijkheid voor data-integriteitsprocedures, inclusief back-upstrategieën en disaster recovery-planning.
• Het bieden van tijdige ondersteuning, softwarevalidatie en troubleshooting bij uitdagingen met computergestuurde systemen als onderdeel van het kern-supportteam.
• Het leveren van gevalideerde methoden aan laboratoria om innovatieve testbenaderingen voor nieuwe producten mogelijk te maken.
