Wat ga je doen?

Do you enjoy being on the road and taking initiative? As a Category C Driver, you ensure that HoReCa customers in and around Amsterdam receive their orders on time. You drive a fixed route, deliver goods carefully, and act as the main point of contact for the customer.
As a Category C Driver, your working day starts at the company location in Amsterdam. You check your truck, load the goods due orders, and then set off independently. You deliver food and non-food products to restaurants, cafés, hotels, and other hospitality businesses. Most of these customers are located within the Amsterdam ring A10.
Your responsibilities include:

• Loading and checking the truck;
• Delivering orders to hospitality customers;
• Unloading roll containers, crates, and other goods;
• Checking deliveries and completing the necessary administration;
• Maintaining customer contact during deliveries;
• Ensuring that the truck remains clean, tidy, and safe.

The position of Category C Driver is a full-time job. Working days are from Monday to Friday, with Saturdays twice a month as well (in these cases, you will have one weekday off). Working hours are from 05:00/06:00 until 14:00.

Wat vragen wij?

• Category C driving licence with a valid Code 95 qualification;
• Good command of the Dutch or English language;
• You are physically fit and have no problem unloading heavy products;
• You work accurately and have a customer-friendly attitude;
• You are able to work independently;
• You are able to apply for a VOG (Certificate of Good Conduct).

• Salary between €3,000 and €3,400 gross per month (based on 40 hours per week);

As a Truck Driver, you will play a key role in keeping our logistics network running smoothly by ensuring that goods are delivered safely and on time. You will be responsible for loading trailers, containers, and swap bodies at a modern rail terminal and transporting shipments along well-planned local routes within the region. Your role will focus on efficient daily operations in the local area, allowing you to stay close to home while enjoying a dynamic and varied driving job. Every day brings new interactions with customers and a strong sense of responsibility for ensuring reliable deliveries.

Your responsibilities include:

• Safely and efficiently transporting goods to various destinations
• Ensuring the accurate and proper handling of transport documentation
• Maintaining and cleaning the truck to ensure it remains in good condition

Working hours:

• Day shift: Monday to Friday, 6:30 AM – 7:00 PM
• Night shift: Monday to Friday, 11:00 PM – 7:00 AM

Wat wij vragen

• Holding a Category C and/or CE driving licence, Code 95 qualification, and a digital driver card
• Experience driving vehicles requiring a Category C/CE driving licence, including heavy goods vehicles

What will you do
As a Category C Truck Driver at Melis Logistics, your workday starts at 06:00 AM with a nice cup of coffee. After that, you set off with a rigid truck to deliver doors to private customers. To do this, you have a truck-mounted forklift (Kooiaap) and an electric pallet truck (EPT) at your disposal, allowing you to move the doors easily.

You will drive across the country for your deliveries. In addition to transport duties, you are also responsible for properly handling the accompanying paperwork. You are the face of the company, so you shouldn't be afraid to strike up a conversation.

After delivering all orders neatly, your workday ends around 06:00 PM (18:00).

Who you are

It’s busier during the day, so you’ll be moving from one task to the next, whereas at night, you might even have time to lend a hand in the warehouse.
