Who you are
As a warehouse worker you do meet the following requirements:

• You live in the Zaandam area
• You can work in a refrigerated environment where the temperature is around 4 degrees
• You are at least 1.65m tall and you speak English
• You are at least 18 years old (due to safety regulations)
• You are physically fit enough to lift boxes up to 20 kilos
• You are available for the morning shift 07:00 a.m. - 03:30 p.m. (mandatory) and if you want also in the night shift 10:30 p.m. till 07:00 a.m.
• You have work experience in a warehouse
• You are available to work one weekend day: Friday night or Saturday morning

What will you do
As a warehouse worker, you work with a large team! Together, you ensure that all supermarket orders are ready for transport. 💪 You drive around in your own electric pallet truck (EPT), so you work nice and independently! You crisscross through the meters-long shelves and neatly collect the products. Thanks to the order picking system, you know exactly where to go and which products to grab. This allows you to collect all orders at a fast pace. 🚀 Occasionally, you will have to use your muscles to lift a box onto your pallet. That saves you a trip to the gym. Ideal, right?! 🤝

• Working the morning shift (mandatory) 07:00 - 15:30. You can combine this with the night shift Mon-Fri 23:00 - 07:00 (optional).

Where will you work
If you start working as a warehouse worker at Albert Heijn, you will be working in the distribution center. This is where all products are collected, after which they will be transported to the supermarkets. In terms of employment conditions, you are well-situated here as a warehouse employee. You earn a nice hourly wage, plus high bonuses. 😉 You can also indicate which days you are available. Nice and flexible! Do you do well? Who you are
As a production employee, you are available at least 3 days a week. Besides that it is important that you meet the following requirements;

• You are 18 years or older
• You speak English or Dutch
• You can work at least 3 days during the week
• You can work in 3 shifts; 6:00-15:00 and 15:00-00:00 and 21:00 - 06:00
• You have your own accommodation in the area of Zaandam
• You are available to work for at least 2 months
• You have your own transporation

What will you do
Your day as production employee starts in the canteen, a chat with your colleagues and a game of table soccer to warm up for the working day! Your working day will be different every day, because you are all-round employable in the whole warehouse, so lots of variety! Kuehne + Nagel processes all returns coming back from the Albert Heijn. You can think of all packaging such as beer crates and plastic bottles. But also food that can no longer be sold in the stores. Your muscles will come in handy in this job, as you will be lifting and walking all day. So turn on that step counter and see which of your colleagues takes the most steps in a day! Furthermore, your duties as a production employee consist of:

• Loading and unloading truck
• Processing cardboard and plastic in the pressing machine
• Sorting beer crates and other packaging
• Food sorting and processing in the pressing machine
