Who you are
You're the warehouse employee we're looking for. No diploma is required, but a strong mindset is! A bag of dog food isn't heavy for you, and you're not necessarily a morning person! Additionally, we ask that you the following:

• You speak Dutch or English;
• You have your own transportation;
• You are willing to work at least 2 days a week (Monday to Friday);
• You are available in the evenings between 5:30 PM and 2:00 AM;
• You are available for at least 3 months;
• You are physically able to lift packages up to 20 kg
• You are 18 years or older

What will you do
As a warehouse employee, you'll be working with packages! A truck delivers a roll container with boxes. Boxes are placed one by one on the sorting machine. After the machine has done its job, you start sorting. We do this based on the postcode on the label or using a handheld scanner. That way, you refill the roll containers with sorted packages! But beware, packages can weigh a maximum of 25 kilograms. If this is too heavy for you, think it over again! #baanrader

• Working hours from 17:30 to 02:00 hours.
• Working days from Monday to Friday.

Where will you work
You will get to work together with your international colleagues in the PostNL Born warehouse. The warehouse is located at Holtum-Noordweg 107 in Born. Easy to reach by own transport. To be eligible for this job we ask the following from you:

Wie ben jij
Als magazijnmedewerker ben je continue bezig met het sorteren van pakketten. Daar hoef je niet per se voor geleerd te hebben. Wel vragen we het volgende:

• Je spreekt Nederlands of Engels;
• Je hebt je eigen vervoer om bij PostNL in Born te komen
• Je bent bereid om 3 dagen per week te werken
• Je bent beschikbaar op; maandag, dinsdag, woensdag of vrijdag
• Je bent beschikbaar tussen 17:30 en 02:00 uur;
• Je bent minstens 3 maanden beschikbaar voor werk;
• Je bent fysiek in staat om pakketten tot 20 kg te tillen.

Wat ga je doen
Iedere dag stromen duizenden pakketten ons magazijn binnen, en jij zorgt dat ze hun weg vinden. Het ene moment los je vrachtwagens en breng je rolcontainers naar de juiste vakken, het volgende moment sta je aan de lopende band. Je werkt nauwkeurig: door pakketten met de barcode naar boven op de band te leggen, zorg je dat de machine op volle toeren blijft draaien. Heb je zin in een fysieke uitdaging? Op de NMG-afdeling sorteer je samen met een buddy de zware en grote items. Kortom: een actieve baan met veel variatie!

• Werkdagen: maandag tot en met vrijdag.
• Flexibele werktijden tussen 17:30 en 02:00 uur

Waar ga je werken
Je vindt ons magazijn aan de Holtum-Noordweg 107 in Born. Of je nu met de fiets, scooter of auto komt; je parkeert je voertuig altijd veilig achter onze eigen poorten. Wel zo’n gerust gevoel!
Op de werkvloer kom je terecht in een gezellig, internationaal team. We zetten samen de schouders eronder, maar er is altijd ruimte voor extra gezelligheid. What will you do
What are you going to do?
When the packages come from the sorting machine and land into the slot, the packages must be placed in the correct roller container.

Raising packages: means that the appropriate packages must be properly placed on the sorting machine, with the bar-code upwards. The sorting machine reads the bar-code on the package and knows which slot the package should come down to. Some packages are not suitable for the sorting machine by the size or weight they have. You need to make sure that only appropriate packages are on the machine, otherwise it will lead to a malfunction.

As a LoLa employee (loading/unloading), you make sure that the trucks arriving at the depots during the evening are emptied. Often, these trucks contain rolling containers with packages and the rolling containers must be removed from the trucks. You need to put these containers in the right place so that a colleague can take care of the further process. At the end of the evening, the sorted packages need to be placed in the correct truck again. The packages can now go to the next depot.

Crossdock: This task consists of loading and unloading containers whose packages are already sorted but need to be placed in a different truck. These activities are physically heavy because only rolling containers are being used. Moreover, the work is mostly outside.
