De functie
Dit ga je doen

Als Supervisor Montage stuur jij dagelijks een team van circa 10 vakmensen aan. Denk aan specialisten in RVS, staal, aluminium en interieur. Je verdeelt het werk, bewaakt de planning en schakelt met collega’s van andere afdelingen. Jij zorgt dat iedereen weet wat er moet gebeuren, en dat het ook echt gebeurt.

Je bent zichtbaar op de werkvloer en hebt een scherp oog voor techniek én mensen. Daarnaast werk je nauw samen met de Projectleider Montage en de andere supervisors om het werkproces steeds slimmer, veiliger en efficiënter te maken.

What will you do
As an assembly worker at DAF, you play a crucial role in the logistics process. After thorough, full-time, and paid training, you will be further trained at your workstation by an experienced colleague.
Working at DAF means you have to work in a team. When you start working in a team at DAF, you remain in this team and it is not possible for you to work in another team.

Within the team there are a number of workstations, within which you will rotate. In the beginning, the work can be very monotonous/repeating, since you are not yet trained at all workstations. The longer you work there, the greater the chance that there will be more variety. The team size varies, but usually it comes down to 15 to 20 employees per shift.

You must take into account that it is physically very heavy, whereby you get muscle pain. This can be muscle pain in your hands, arms and legs. In addition, some teams require you to hang over the chassis, which can be hard on your back. Furthermore, you are constantly standing.

You will have two breaks in an 8-hour shift (a half-hour break and a 15-minute break). The half hour break, you will not get paid.
Overtime is the hours worked in addition to the timetable by the supervisor (all hours worked in excess of the 8 hours are overtime hours).
For the first 2 overtime hours: + 23.2%.
For the other overtime periods (> 2 hours overtime): + 37.6%
Saturday overtime addition = + 65%
Sunday overtime addition = + 84%

Where will you work
The Paccar Distribution Center (PDC) is the largest DAF Trucks distribution center worldwide. The PDC supplies DAF dealers directly in the Netherlands, Germany, Belgium, and France. In addition, it supplies other European PDCs on a daily basis.
To guarantee fast delivery of the right parts, the distribution center uses advanced logistics systems. One of these systems is voice-activated picking orders and assembly .

A ''pendelweek'' at DAF means the salary will be paid on wednesday (instead of the regular monday). So the employee will receive his or her salary on thursday or friday.

Day one = introduction at DAF, receiving company clothes, getting BSN
Day two = starting the job + DAF training
In the summer the company is closed from week 30,31,32. There is no work in the factory at that moment.

wie ben jij
Als teamleider voldoe je aan de volgende eisen:

• je hebt minimaal 1 jaar ervaring als teamleider
• je hebt minimaal een MBO-niveau 2 diploma
• je beheerst goed de Nederlandse taal
• je beheerst goed de Engelse taal
• je bent fulltime beschikbaar in de 3 ploegendienst

wat ga je doen
Als teamleider bij Scania in Meppel draait alles om jouw mensen. Je kent het team door en door en staat altijd voor ze klaar. Heeft iemand een luisterend oor nodig? Je biedt die steun en schakelt met de supervisor als dat nodig is. Want als het goed gaat met je team, loopt het werk op rolletjes.

Tijdens de dienst heb je de regie over de planning. Je zet elke medewerker op de juiste plek voor het beste resultaat. Wordt het ergens te druk of valt er iemand uit? Dan stroop je de mouwen op en spring je direct bij! Tijdens een persoonlijk gesprek vertellen we je nog veel meer over deze rol.

Je gaat werken in de 3 ploegendienst. Je werktijden zijn;

• ochtenddienst: 06:00 - 14:18
• middag/avonddienst: 14:18 - 22:36
• nachtdienst: 22:36 - 06:02

waar ga je werken
Welkom bij Scania Meppel als de nieuwe teamleider! Op deze locatie worden alle onderdelen van de vrachtwagens strak in de lak gezet. Als onderdeel van een groot internationaal bedrijf staan respect en veiligheid hier altijd voorop. Dit zorgt voor een professionele werkomgeving met een zeer prettige sfeer. Momenteel staan er op drie verschillende afdelingen teamleiderposities open. Er is keuze uit de afdeling inspectie en reparatie, logistiek of assemblage en loading.

• Goed om te weten: Scania hanteert in de zomer een bedrijfssluiting van week 29 t/m week 32 (13 juli t/m 7 augustus). In deze weken ben je vrij en zijn er geen vervangende werkzaamheden.
