Als Transportmanager ben je vanuit de regio Amsterdam verantwoordelijk voor het strategisch en operationeel aansturen en optimaliseren van transportactiviteiten binnen Europa.

Over de functie

Als Transportation Manager EMEA ben je verantwoordelijk voor de dagelijkse aansturing én de strategische ontwikkeling van de transportactiviteiten. Je zorgt ervoor dat de dienstverlening aan klanten efficiënt, kwalitatief en kosteneffectief wordt uitgevoerd. Jouw werkzaamheden:

• Ontwikkelen en optimaliseren van de transportstrategie en routeplanning voor de Europese markt.
• Analyseren van de huidige transportactiviteiten en deze verbeteren op basis van klantbehoeften en bedrijfsdoelstellingen.
• Aansturen van de dagelijkse transportoperatie en het team.
• Bewaken van KPI's en SLA's en zorgen dat afgesproken kwaliteits- en serviceniveaus worden behaald.
• Analyseren van transportvolumes, efficiëntie, kwaliteit en kosten.
• Opstellen en bespreken van dagelijkse, wekelijkse en maandelijkse rapportages voor het management.
• Uitvoeren van root cause analyses en identificeren van verbeter- en optimalisatiemogelijkheden.
• Verantwoordelijk voor budgetbewaking, leveranciersmanagement en controle van transportkosten/facturen.
• Uitvoeren en begeleiden van projecten die vanuit het management worden toegewezen.

Over het bedrijf

Je komt te werken bij een internationale dienstverlener op het gebied van logistiek en supply chain-oplossingen, gespecialiseerd in warehousing, transport en distributie. Met een sterke focus op operationele uitmuntendheid en klanttevredenheid ondersteunt de organisatie bedrijven in verschillende sectoren met efficiënte en betrouwbare logistieke oplossingen. Door een combinatie van uitgebreide logistieke expertise, technologiegedreven processen en een klantgerichte aanpak helpt de organisatie haar klanten bij het optimaliseren van hun supply chain en het soepel laten verlopen van goederenstromen, zowel op lokale als internationale markten.

Wat vragen wij van jou

Als persoon beschik je over sterke communicatieve vaardigheden, daarnaast heb jij goede kennis van MS Office, met name Excel en basiskennis van formules en dataverwerking. Verder vragen wij het volgende:

• Aantoonbare werkervaring als Transportation Manager, Transport Manager of vergelijkbare leidinggevende binnen de 3PL/logistieke dienstverlening.
• Ervaring met strategische transport- en routeplanning binnen de Europese markt is een must.
• Uitstekende beheersing van Nederlands én Engels, zowel mondeling als schriftelijk.

Wat bieden wij jou

• Een direct contract van 1 jaar, inclusief een proeftijd van 1 maand, met de intentie om daarna over te gaan naar een contract voor onbepaalde tijd.
• Een bruto maandsalaris van €4.000 – €5.000 op basis van 40 uur.

Job purpose

Locally you will lead the Colour Services department Benelux in the consistent delivery of colour expertise, training, field support, and exceptional customer services in the effective investigation and resolution of all customer-tinting concerns for AC Benelux, Industry and PMC Global. Covering all internal and external customers, across all our brands and channels of business, including private label business. Being pro-active and drive training & service improvements together with sales and marketing. As Tinting expert, you will be pro-actively involved in EMEA colour, tinting and software projects. Working close with the CoE Lead Colour & Tinting EMEA. Supporting the defined EMEA scaled projects with your (or the team) technical expertise to ensure it will add value, differentiate our Tinting offer, fit for market and drives operational efficiency.

What will you do?

• Manage Local (Benelux) Colour Services, structural and operational costs
• Lead the local (Benelux) Colour team to meet all organizational and departmental current and future expectations for productivity, quality and goal accomplishment.
• Consciously create a workplace and team culture that is consistent with PPG's overall and that encourages the achievement of the mission, vison and values of the organization.
• Develop a yearly Colour Services activity plan in line with the defined local Benelux Business plan.
• Evaluate, agree and support the Global PMC tinting plan.
• Manage and support development (adjustments of) dispensers and dispenser related hard- & software in order to improve customer satisfaction, to reduce costs and to bring innovations in time to market for AC Benelux, Industry and PMC Global.
• Develop and implement a 3-year strategic plan and a yearly activity plan for the AC Benelux Colour Services.
• Together with your team, work closely with the CoE Lead Colour & Tinting EMEA to support the successful development, testing, validation, implementation, and continuous improvement of new and existing dispenser software, dispensing machines, color tools, processes to colleagues and customers to achieve maximum benefit/sales/growth in line with Marketing and Commercial strategies.
• Create a succession plan for the Benelux - Coach, mentor and develop staff - providing career development planning and opportunities
• Establish and manage relevant controls and measures to monitor the performance, physical and financial operation of the team and its activities and identify improvements and efficiencies. Regularly report these to the Benelux leadership team.
• Promote safe working and best practice and ensure that health and safety policies are adhered to and that the department and areas of operation are maintained as a safe clean working environment.

What do you bring?

• Bachelor's degree, Technical HBO degree, or equivalent academic qualification.
• Minimum 5 years of technical and/or business experience within a business-to-business and/or consumer environment.
• Knowledge of tinting solutions or related process technologies.
• Experience leading, coaching, and developing teams.
• Strong customer focus and commitment to service excellence.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and influencing skills.
• Strong leadership and stakeholder management capabilities.
• Strategic thinking and the ability to translate business objectives into actionable plans.
• Business fluency in Dutch and English (French is a plus).
• Willingness to travel throughout the Benelux region and internationally as required.
