Over het werk

Jouw nieuwe werkgever verzorgt het internationale transport per luchtvracht, zeevracht en wegtransport. Vanuit de locatie in Nieuw Vennep wordt de import en export van de luchtvracht verzorgt. Het grote magazijn is ingedeeld in 3 segmenten. Zo is er een apart segment voor de food artikelen, de general cargo en voor de pharma industrie.

Samen met jouw collega's verzorg jij het gehele proces van A tot Z. De dag start met een kort overleg en jullie draaien de orders uit vanuit de mailbox. De orders worden gepicked, de pallets worden ingesealed, de labels worden geprint en jullie plakken de labels op de orders. Zodra de vrachtwagen aankomt, starten jullie met het lossen van de pallets met behulp van de heftruck of de elektrische pompwagen. Jullie controleren de aantallen en kwaliteit, verwerken alles in de computer d.m.v. Een scanner en zetten de goederen op de juiste plaats in het magazijn met behulp van een heftruck of reachtruck. Het bezitten of behalen van een heftruck/reachtruckcertificaat en een cursus medewerker luchtvracht is van groot belang voor deze functie. Daarnaast kan het zijn dat je een HACCP cursus zal gaan volgen om met de food producten te mogen werken.

In this role, you bridge the gap between daily logistics operations and the commercial department. You start your workday processing rate requests for ocean and air freight and creating precise, competitive quotes for clients. Next, you consult with operational teams to arrange efficient transport solutions and monitor execution. Throughout the day, you maintain direct communication with international clients and suppliers to optimize commercial opportunities and build strong relationships.

Tasks

• Processing and calculating commercial quotes for air and ocean freight
• Managing rate databases and updating tariff structures
• Advising clients on suitable logistics and transport solutions
• Coordinating directly with internal operational departments
• Maintaining regular contact with international suppliers and clients
• Tracking market developments to offer competitive pricing
• Overseeing the commercial process from initial request to completion

We are looking for

• Minimum of 2 to 3 years of work experience in an operational logistics environment
• Commercial mindset with a proactive work attitude
• Practical experience with inside sales or pricing in freight forwarding
• Fluent command of English; knowledge of Dutch is an advantage
• Availability to start in October
