We are looking for an experienced and motivated Maintenance Technician who is eager to share knowledge, take initiative, and lead a team in a dynamic production environment. In this role, you will play a key part in ensuring the reliability and continuous improvement of machinery, installations, and production lines. You will not only resolve technical issues but also act as a mentor and role model for your colleagues. Working closely with the Head of Technical Services, you will contribute to the ongoing development and professionalization of the maintenance department.

• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on machines and production lines
• Diagnose and resolve technical faults to minimize downtime and ensure safe operations
• Contribute to technical improvement projects and optimization of production processes
• Train and support team members, especially in electrical and PLC-related knowledge
• Maintain accurate records in maintenance and fault management systems (e.g., Ultimo)
• Ensure compliance with quality procedures and support onboarding of new colleagues

Wat wij vragen

• Completed technical education (MBO level 4) in electrical engineering, mechatronics, mechanical engineering, or a similar field
• At least 5 years of experience as a maintenance or troubleshooting technician, preferably in the food industry
• Strong electrical knowledge and the ability to diagnose and resolve technical faults effectively
• Proven experience in training and supporting colleagues
• Hands-on mindset with a proactive attitude toward challenges and improvement projects
• Good command of Dutch (spoken and written); additional languages such as English are an advantage

Within Inactivated Vaccines Pharmaceuticals, we work in modern cleanrooms where safety, quality, and hygiene are always top priorities. Our Maintenance & Reliability team ensures everything runs smoothly and reliably.

You’ll join a growing and supportive team of technicians, a senior technician, planners, and a maintenance support engineer. Together, we’re building a strong, future-proof facility-and you can be part of it.

What will you do?

No two days are the same. You will:

• Perform preventive maintenance according to plan.
• Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues (with support from colleagues when needed).
• Actively contribute ideas to improve reliability and performance.
• Work according to clear procedures, always prioritizing safety and hygiene.
• Help build and strengthen our Maintenance & Reliability team.
• Keep clear administrative records of your work.
• Support the implementation of changes and improvement of instructions.

Who are you?

You don’t need to know everything yet-motivation and willingness to learn are just as important. We’ll teach you what you don’t know.

You:

• Hold a technical vocational qualification at upper‑secondary level (equivalent to EQF level 3–4(e.g., mechatronics, electronics, or control engineering).
• Have an affinity with safety and safe working practices, and ideally hold a safety certification such as VCA (VOL) and/or an electrical safety certificate (NEN 3140), or be willing to obtain these through us. Can read and understand technical documentation
• Communicate easily and enjoy working as part of a team.
• Take responsibility for quality and safety.
• Are eager to learn and grow.
• Are based near our Boxmeer site.

Working hours & on-call service

• Clear schedule, no night shifts
• Monday to Friday:
• 3 days day shift (07:30 - 16:00)
• 1 early shift (05:45 - 14:15)
• 1 late shift (13:45 - 22:15)
• No weekend shifts (except on-call duty)

On-call:

• Once every 6 weeks (weekend)
• Availability between 06:00 - 22:00
• First try to resolve issues remotely; if needed, you come to site

Als Allround Technician werk je op het snijvlak van mechanica, elektriciteit en onderhoud. Je grijpt in bij technische storingen, voert geplande onderhoudswerkzaamheden uit en signaleert waar processen of installaties beter kunnen. Je schakelt vlot met operatoren, maintenance en externe techniekers en speelt een belangrijke rol in het borgen van veiligheid en kwaliteit op de werkvloer.

Je werkt in een productieomgeving waar geen dag hetzelfde is. Het ene moment ben je bezig met het reviseren van lagers of pompen, het andere moment met het oplossen van een elektrische storing of het verbeteren van een installatie.

Wat ga je doen?

• Uitvoeren van preventief en curatief onderhoud aan machines, installaties en infrastructuur.
• Oplossen van mechanische en elektrotechnische storingen tijdens productie.
• Reviseren, herstellen en vervangen van onderdelen zoals lagers, assen, pompen en ventilatoren.
• Uitvoeren van basis elektrische interventies (sensoren, motorbeveiliging, frequentieregelaars).
• Werken met pneumatische en hydraulische systemen en oplossen van lekkages of drukproblemen.
• Analyseren van storingen en voorstellen doen voor duurzame, structurele oplossingen.
• Meedenken en meewerken aan technische optimalisaties op het vlak van efficiëntie, veiligheid en ergonomie.
• Correct registreren van werkzaamheden, onderdelen en uren in het onderhoudssysteem.
• Actief bijdragen aan een veilige werkomgeving volgens geldende veiligheids- en lock-out/tag-outprocedures.

• Een technische opleiding in mechanica, elektromechanica, onderhoudstechnieken of een vergelijkbare opleiding.
• Relevante ervaring in een productieomgeving of technische Dienst.
• Goede kennis van mechanica, elektromechanica en basis elektriciteit.
• Kennis van pneumatiek en hydrauliek.
• Kunnen lezen van elektrische en mechanische schema’s.
• Handvaardigheid (lassen, slijpen, boren en monteren – TIG-lassen is een vereiste.
• Basis PLC-kennis voor foutdiagnose is een pluspunt.
• Kennis Ultimo (of ander ERP paket) is een pluspunt.
• Je bent Nederlandstalig en hebt een basiskennis van het Frans.

• Repair work: Independently repair technical defects and damages based on clear work instructions.
• Internal logistics: Safely move materials through the warehouse using the forklift or reach truck and register the processing.
