What will you do

As a warehouse employee, no day is the same in the Albert Heijn distribution center. Here you will collect all orders for Albert Heijn. You do this at the EPT. No certificate? The products you collect are very different. However, one product is heavier than the other. For example, a box of bananas is a maximum of 20 kilos and this also has to be lifted onto the pallet truck. The advantage is that you no longer have to go to the gym after work #win-win situation! When all orders have been packed, they are sent to Albert Heijn!

Where will you work

As you know, you will be working at the Albert Heijn distribution center. Here you will have different departments where you will work as a warehouse employee. For example, you have the durable department and the fresh department. The difference between the two departments is the temperature. With the fresh products, it is just a little cooler so that everything stays good. At Albert Heijn, you will work part-time, on Saturdays and Sundays. This allows you to combine it well with, for example, a study. You can work here from 07:00 - 15:30 and on Saturdays they also have an evening shift from 17:00-23:00. In the maintenance department, where the temperature is constantly around 14 degrees celsius, you, as a logistics employee seasonal work, are responsible for moving pallets of cheeses. You do this using an EPT (Elemental Posting Machine). You ensure that the production lines are supplied with cheeses that require maintenance, such as applying a protective coating or turning the cheese. This process is fully automated using modern machinery. During your work, you use a WMS screen on your EPT. This displays the tasks you need to perform and confirms when an order is ready. The work is light physically, as you will primarily be driving and operating systems.

  • You will work in a refrigerated area (approx. 14°C) where you will collect and move various types of cheese.
  • You will ensure that the production lines are continuously supplied with cheeses that need to be processed (machine turning and coating);
  • Experience with an EPT is a plus, but not required.

what will you do

As an order picker in the produce warehouse in Geldermalsen, you'll ensure that large shipments of potatoes, vegetables, and fruit are ready on time. These shipments aren't intended for direct delivery to customers, but are destined for other warehouses across the country. You'll work primarily in a refrigerated environment. Thanks to an electric pallet jack, you don't have to lift the heavy pallets yourself, but it's certainly physical work.

Your workday begins with picking products according to the order list, stacking and moving pallets, and checking quality. You'll work with colleagues in two shifts: from 6:00 AM to 3:00 PM or from 4:00 PM to 1:00 AM. For the hour between midnight and 1:00 AM, you'll even receive a 150% surcharge.

  • Preparing large loads of fresh produce (potatoes, vegetables, and fruit)
  • Handling and preparing shipments for other warehouses
  • Using the electric pallet device to move heavy goods
  • Checking and preparing shipments according to work instructions in a refrigerated environment (4°C)
where will you work

You'll be working at a distribution center in Geldermalsen, specializing in fresh produce. It's a place where you can work hard, but also enjoy a bit of humor. Because the warehouse is cool, you'll often be working at around 4°C.

The distribution center is not accessible by public transport, so your own transportation (car, bicycle, or scooter) is required. You'll work an average of 3 out of 4 weekends per month, but outside of that, you'll have plenty of flexibility in your availability.

Who you are

What will you do
