What will you do
Get ready for action! As a logistic employee, you are the heartbeat of our depot. Trucks roll in and out constantly. Together with your team, you clear the way. You unload roll containers at a fast pace. Next, you park them in the right spot. Is a truck empty? Time to load it up with the correct containers! You keep the momentum going so drivers can hit the road fast. Since the schedule rotates, every shift brings new energy. Fast, fun, and never a dull moment! #baanraders
- Working days: Monday through Sunday.

Where will you work
As a logistic employee, you will be part of an international team. Together you will ensure each driver sends the correct roll containers out. Drivers come and go frequently, and team leaders are open to your ideas if you see ways to improve the process. The process manager and (assistant) team leaders are also from the Tempo Team. They maintain close contact with our planning and HR departments. Have questions or issues? There is always someone available to help. Convenient, right? What will you do
You are the engine that keeps the logistics process running:
- Order picking: You use a handheld scanner to collect all orders. 📲
- Quality control: You check the orders and prepare them for shipment. ✅
- Logistics transport: To ensure an efficient flow of goods, you move pallets quickly and safely through the warehouse using an EPT. 🚛
- Machine sealing: You seal the pallets and make them ready for transport using the sealing machine. 📥

What will you do
As an assembly worker at DAF, you play a crucial role in the logistics process. After thorough, full-time, and paid training, you will be further trained at your workstation by an experienced colleague.
Working at DAF means you have to work in a team. When you start working in a team at DAF, you remain in this team and it is not possible for you to work in another team.
Within the team there are a number of workstations, within which you will rotate. In the beginning, the work can be very monotonous/repeating, since you are not yet trained at all workstations. The longer you work there, the greater the chance that there will be more variety. The team size varies, but usually it comes down to 15 to 20 employees per shift.
You must take into account that it is physically very heavy, whereby you get muscle pain. This can be muscle pain in your hands, arms and legs. In addition, some teams require you to hang over the chassis, which can be hard on your back. Furthermore, you are constantly standing.
You will have two breaks in an 8-hour shift (a half-hour break and a 15-minute break). The half hour break, you will not get paid.
Overtime is the hours worked in addition to the timetable by the supervisor (all hours worked in excess of the 8 hours are overtime hours).
For the first 2 overtime hours: + 23.2%.
For the other overtime periods (> 2 hours overtime): + 37.6%
Saturday overtime addition = + 65%
Sunday overtime addition = + 84%
Where will you work
The Paccar Distribution Center (PDC) is the largest DAF Trucks distribution center worldwide. The PDC supplies DAF dealers directly in the Netherlands, Germany, Belgium, and France. In addition, it supplies other European PDCs on a daily basis.
To guarantee fast delivery of the right parts, the distribution center uses advanced logistics systems. One of these systems is voice-activated picking orders and assembly .
A ''pendelweek'' at DAF means the salary will be paid on wednesday (instead of the regular monday). So the employee will receive his or her salary on thursday or friday.
Day one = introduction at DAF, receiving company clothes, getting BSN
Day two = starting the job + DAF training
In the summer the company is closed from week 30,31,32. There is no work in the factory at that moment.

- The axles and cabins are made in Westerlo (another factory in Belgium) and transported to DAF Eindhoven on a daily basis. DAF will produce 240 trucks every day!
