At Fokker Elmo in Papendrecht you will work as an assembly worker. You and your team work on cabling for the aircraft industry. The wiring harnesses consist of different types of cables and connectors. Yellow cables, green cables, you name it! Here you check cable harnesses and reassemble them correctly. You do this using instructions on a laptop, which are in English! So it's kind of a construction kit!

Where will you work

Back to the year 1910. In this year Anthony Fokker built his very first airplane: De Spin. This was also the very first aircraft built in the Netherlands and flown here. That's cool, isn't it?! Together with your team as assembly mechanic you will build modern electric buses. In this way, you will also directly contribute to a 'green' future. The work is fully described in the instructions. Your experienced colleagues will of course be happy to help you. You will perform mechanical and/or electrical assembly work.

  • assembling parts to the bus. Think: the stop button, interior, lighting and doors;

who are you

You will bring:

  • A Bachelor's degree in a relevant technical field (e.g., Media Technology) and 5 years of work experience, or a minimum of 5 years of equivalent experience in an AV or digital signage environment.
  • Certified knowledge of AV systems, particularly QSC (Level 2, Control 101 & 201). Experience with systems like Crestron is a plus.
  • In-depth expertise in designing digital signage solutions, such as LED walls, large-format displays, projection, and audio solutions.
  • Experience with supporting AV technologies such as touchscreens, video distribution systems, and media players, running on both Windows and OSX.

what will you do

As an Audio-Visual (AV) Engineer, you are the expert who makes Nike's ambitious digital vision technically possible. You are responsible for the management, maintenance, and implementation of all AV equipment and installations at various Nike locations. You ensure that everything, from a presentation in a meeting room to a large-scale video installation in a flagship store, works flawlessly. You will advise speakers, manage inventory, and solve complex technical problems.

  • Engineering & design: You are technically responsible for AV installations. You will advise, develop, and implement advanced audio and video systems, and create detailed system diagrams and technical documentation.
