In this role, you will work at the intersection of Finance, Manufacturing and Supply Chain, making sure operational activities are correctly reflected in financial reporting. A key part of your position will be inventory accounting and product costing, while also providing insights that help the business understand financial performance.

• Support *inventory accounting

• Execute and monitor costs in *SAP

• (Material Ledger);

• Review production order settlements, work in progress (WIP) and manufacturing variances;
• Contribute to month-end and year-end closing activities;
• Ensure accurate inventory valuation in accordance with applicable accounting standards;
• Analyze inventory movements, production variances and valuation drivers;
• Support COGS calculations and inventory-related reporting;
• Translate manufacturing and supply chain activities into the appropriate financial transactions;
• Provide Finance and Operations stakeholders with relevant financial insights;
• Support working capital and inventory optimization initiatives.
  Alongside your day-to-day financial responsibilities, you will contribute to improving and standardizing processes across the international organization. You will work with different stakeholders to strengthen financial controls, improve SAP processes and make costing and inventory procedures more efficient and consistent. - Help standardize inventory valuation and product costing processes across different entities and locations;
• Contribute to *SAP improvements, system changes and automation projects

• Identify opportunities to reduce manual activities and improve existing processes;
• Create and maintain process documentation and training materials;
• Participate in user acceptance testing for cross-functional system and process changes;
• Support inventory valuation in accordance with *IFRS, local GAAP and relevant tax requirements

• Maintain and further develop internal controls related to inventory;
• Assist with internal and external audit activities;
• Handle topics such as inventory reserves, obsolescence, lower-of-cost-or-market considerations and intercompany eliminations;
• Maintain relevant controlling master data, including periodic allocation cycles.

Initially, part of your focus will be supporting costing activities connected to the company's German operations. In the longer term, your scope will become increasingly international, with a focus on improving and standardizing inventory and costing processes across different locations. #

Requirements

For this position, we are looking for someone who brings: - A Bachelor's degree in *Accounting, Finance, Business Economics

• or a comparable field;

• At least *3-5 years of relevant financial accounting experience

• , with significant exposure to inventory accounting and/or product costing;

• Experience working within a *manufacturing or production environment

• ;

• Strong knowledge of inventory valuation and product costing principles;
• The ability to understand operational manufacturing processes and translate them into financial transactions;
• Strong *SAP

• knowledge, preferably including *FICO, Material Ledger and Product Costing

• ;

• Advanced *Excel

• skills;

• Experience with or knowledge of *Power BI is a plus

• ;

• Professional fluency *English

• , verbally and in writing, German is a plus

Je werkt nauw samen met internationale stakeholders en speelt een sleutelrol bij het inzichtelijk maken van de Cost of Goods Sold (COGS), varianties en voorraadstromen. Herken jij jezelf in het onderstaande profiel? Om succesvol te zijn in de rol van Senior Inventory & Product Costing Analyst, voldoet jouw achtergrond aan de volgende punten:

• Jij beschikt over een afgeronde hbo-/wo-opleiding in Finance/Accountancy en minimaal 5 jaar ervaring in een productievermgeving met focus op Inventory Accounting en Product Costing.
• Jij bent vloeiend in het Duits en Engels.
• Jij beschikt over grondige kennis van SAP (bij voorkeur FICO, Material Ledger en Product Costing) en geavanceerde Excel-vaardigheden.
• Jij kan tijdelijk de product costing-activiteiten voor de Duitse vestigingen ondersteunen en op de lange termijn wereldwijde processen binnen Business Control standaardiseren.
• Jij kan fabrieksprocessen makkelijk omzetten naar duidelijke financiële cijfers en rapporten.

wat ga je doen
Als Sr. Inventory & Product Costing Analyst zorg jij ervoor dat alle cijfers rondom de voorraad en de productiekosten van het bedrijf precies kloppen. Je bent de schakel tussen de fabriek, de logistiek en de financiële administratie.

• Fabriekscijfers controleren: Je kijkt naar wat er in de fabrieken gebeurt en vertaalt dit naar duidelijke financiële overzichten. Zo bereken je precies wat het kost om onze producten te maken.
• Voorraad beheren: Je zorgt dat de waarde van de voorraad altijd klopt volgens de regels en helpt bij de maand- en jaarafsluiting.
• Duitse locaties ondersteunen: In het begin help je tijdelijk de Duitse vestigingen met hun kostprijsberekeningen.
• Processen slimmer maken: Je helpt mee om de systemen (zoals SAP) te verbeteren, zodat we wereldwijd op dezelfde, slimme manier werken en minder handmatig werk hoeven te doen.
• Advies geven: Je helpt het management met duidelijke rapporten en inzichten, zodat zij slimme beslissingen kunnen nemen voor het bedrijf.
