One of the largest E-commerce Fulfillment Centers in Europe is located in Waalwijk on behalf of bol.com. SSI SCHÄFER is responsible for the complete logistics setup here. To ensure the heart of the logistics system functions optimally, we are looking for a Maintenance Technician. On average, 40,000 packages are shipped per hour daily at bol.com. To optimally process the demand and diversity of the products, SSI SCHÄFER is setting up a smart and innovative intralogistics system. Around 2,000 shuttles run between the 30-meter-high racks, and there is over 40 kilometers of conveyor system. Will you be responsible for the maintenance of our shuttles? Read on and apply.

Over de functieAs a technician, you ensure that our shuttles work. The shuttles whiz through the racks collecting packages. Together with 3 driven colleagues, you take care of the maintenance of the flexi-shutters. Because the shuttles are the heart of the operation at BOL, you have an important task. Together with your colleagues, you ensure that the system keeps running and the shuttles run smoothly. In short, you ensure that all packages are sent to bol.com customers on time. • A (permanent) position at SSI SCHÄFER

• €3,000 - €3,600 per month based on 38 hours per week

• You work during the day shift, from Monday to Friday.

• Travel allowance €0.23 per kilometer (max. 50 km one-way)

The opportunity for someone who wants to work as a technician on innovative technical systems!
A new PRIMARK® distribution center, spanning over 30,000 m², is located in Roosendaal. From this distribution center, France, Spain, and Italy are supplied with trendy clothing. In 2020, SSI SCHÄFER built the complete logistics setup in the DC and performs maintenance on, among other things, Automated Guided Vehicles, automatic cranes, a monorail system, and pallet transport systems. The system is currently being expanded with our shuttles and much more. If you come to work here, you will therefore be working with state-of-the-art technology, with your own tool cart, laptop, and phone. You will also have access to a fully equipped workshop and good coffee.

WHAT WILL YOU DO AS A MAINTENANCE TECHNICIAN?
As a maintenance technician, you will be part of our service team for PRIMARK® in Roosendaal. You will follow an extensive on-site training program regarding the maintenance of various technical installations. These include 20-meter-high automatic cranes, pallet transport systems, a monorail system, and Automated Guided Vehicles driving around.
You step in during breakdowns and coordinate maintenance actions with our logistics partner GXO. Together with your colleagues, you plan and execute the work. You collaborate closely with your team members and are skilled at coordinating matters, but you also perform tasks completely independently. In short: a challenging role where you work with innovative technology on a daily basis and can learn a great deal quickly. The new section of the site is scheduled to be put into operation next February, after which we will operate a 5-shift system. We are currently already working in shifts, but no night shifts have been scheduled yet.
We are looking for new employees who want to work both day shifts and rotating shifts.

• A (permanent) position at SSI SCHÄFER

• Salary between €3,100 and €4,000 gross per month (excluding allowances) for 40 hours; you can advance in position and salary up to and including scale J of the Metalektro CLA.

• A 30% surcharge on your salary from the moment we start working in the 5-shift system and an attractive bonus scheme.

• Travel allowance €0.23 per kilometer (max. 50 km one-way)

• Conditions in accordance with the Metalektro CLA (27 vacation days, PME pension, and training days)

• An extensive onboarding program, where you can take training on the job.
