Dit ga je doen

• Vanuit de controlekamer bewaak je alle goederenstromen en grijp je in bij afwijkingen in het proces;
• Je bewaakt de werking van het geautomatiseerde Warehouse Control Systeem (Savoye) en voert regelmatige procescontroles uit;
• Je ondersteunt de monteurs bij inspecties en klein technisch onderhoud;
• Je lost zelfstandig storingen op en neemt deel aan het interventieteam bij technische incidenten (ook op hoogte);
• Je zorgt voor correcte communicatie richting productie, expeditie en andere afdelingen over voortgang en bijzonderheden;

In this role, you are much more than just a driver; you are a key player in the physical flow of our warehouse. Your day is a balance between precision maneuvering on the forklift and active involvement in manual warehouse operations. You ensure that racks are replenished flawlessly, but you are equally prepared to step off your machine to assist your colleagues with manual sorting, quality checks, or prepping orders for shipment. You have an eye for detail, notice when work needs to be done, and take pride in a fully organized and processed goods flow at the end of your shift.

Tasks

• Operating the forklift with high precision to move heavy and delicate loads.
• Loading and unloading trucks and containers efficiently.
• Manually sorting, repacking, and labeling products when required.
• Performing strict quality and quantity checks on incoming and outgoing goods.
• Maintaining a clean, organized, and safe working environment.
• Supporting the team with various physical warehouse tasks outside of the forklift.
• Accurately registering goods movements in the management system.

We are looking for

• At least 3 years of demonstrable experience as a forklift operator.
• A valid forklift certificate (safety is our absolute priority).
• A strong willingness to spend approximately 50% of your time on physical tasks off the truck.
• A proactive work ethic and the physical stamina required for an active warehouse role.
• Proficiency in English or Dutch to ensure clear communication on the floor.
• High reliability and a professional sense of responsibility for equipment and safety.

Dit productiebedrijf verwerkt warmgewalst staal en verzorgt het decoilen en beitsen van coils en platen. Met speciale decoiling-installaties worden rollen staal omgezet naar plaatmateriaal en is er een plaatbeitsbaan en een automatische inpaklijn aanwezig. Het bedrijf richt zich op kwaliteit, veiligheid, leverbetrouwbaarheid en kostenbeheersing en heeft een overdekt warehouse met een opslagcapaciteit van 100 kiloton staal. De organisatie maakt onderdeel uit van een groep bedrijven en telt ongeveer 150 werknemers verdeeld over vestigingen in Maastricht en Beverwijk. De productieomgeving is semi-geautomatiseerd en vereist ervaren operators die machines kunnen instellen, kwaliteitscontroles uitvoeren en eerstelijns onderhoud kunnen verrichten.
