Over de vacature

As demand for advanced technologies such as AI, automotive electronics, and smart devices continues to grow, so does the need for semiconductors. These chips are essential to countless industries and technologies that shape our daily lives.

At Trymax, we develop and build high-tech, plasma-based wafer-processing equipment for semiconductor manufacturers worldwide. As a Field Service Engineer, you work at the forefront of wafer-processing technology, supporting our growing international customer base with installation, service, and technical expertise. Are you ready for the challenge? What will be your role?
As a Field Service Engineer, you install, commission, service, and troubleshoot our systems at customers' sites, primarily across Europe and occasionally in the USA or Asia. You are the first point of contact for technical support and advice and, where applicable, carry out preventive maintenance under service agreements. Since much of the first-line maintenance is performed by our customers’ own technical teams, you also play an important role in training their service engineers and operators. By accurately documenting system issues and solutions, advising customers on spare parts management, and sharing technical knowledge, you help maximize system uptime and performance. You will also regularly meet with customers to discuss technical progress, service activities, and follow-up actions. When you are not travelling or working at a customer site, you will be based at our headquarters in Nijmegen. Here, you provide remote technical support to customers and colleagues via Microsoft Teams, email, and telephone, and prepare system upgrades, service activities, and documentation. You will join our team in Nijmegen and receive extensive onboarding and technical training to become familiar with our systems, technology, and procedures. In addition, experienced colleagues will provide hands-on, on-the-job training. Your manager will be in touch with you on a regular basis to support you. What we expect from you
You are passionate about our systems and are eager to learn about our latest developments and technologies. Driven by keeping our customers operational, you are focused on delivering results. As you’ll be working both independently and together with colleagues, you enjoy the balance between autonomy and teamwork. Your communication skills help you connect easily with colleagues, customers’ operators, engineers, and management. Most of the customers you support are located in Europe, but occasionally you may be called upon for assignments outside Europe, including in the USA or Asia. That is why you enjoy travelling and are comfortable working in an international environment. The knowledge and experience you bring to Trymax include: - A Bachelor’s degree in Mechatronics, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a comparable technical field. You may also have gained this level of knowledge through relevant work experience.

  • Knowledge of multiple disciplines, such as mechanical, electro-mechanical and electrical engineering, electronics, pneumatics, vacuum systems, robotics, RF technology, and software. Knowledge of vacuum systems, robotics, and/or RF technology is considered a plus.
  • Work experience in equipment engineering, servicing, or the semiconductor industry is desirable, but not essential.
  • Good working knowledge of English. Knowledge of German and/or Dutch is a plus.
  • A valid driving licence.

What you’ll get in return
This role gives you the opportunity to work with some of the latest semiconductor technology as part of a team of dedicated specialists. At Trymax, you will find a strong sense of team spirit and belonging in an informal and open atmosphere. We also regularly organise activities to strengthen our community. You can also expect: - A salary between €4,000 and €6,000 gross per month, depending on your knowledge and experience.

  • A one-year contract, with the prospect of a permanent position.
  • Participation in the PME Pension Fund (Metalektro).
  • 27 vacation days and 13 scheduled paid days off.
  • Personal development, training, and education, geared to your needs.
  • Travel allowance for your daily commute.
  • A laptop and mobile phone.

About Trymax
We develop and build high-tech equipment for the semiconductor industry. Our systems process wafers using plasma technology, a unique product in a growing market. Trymax has sales and service offices in the United States, China, and Europe. Our headquarters and production facility are located in Nijmegen. Over de vacature

Do you enjoy working with technology and creating high-quality products? As a High-Tech Assembly Technician in Eindhoven, you will play an important role in assembling modules and systems used in a cutting-edge manufacturing environment.

You will work with technical drawings, tools, and complex components, ensuring every product meets the highest quality standards. Join our young, innovative team and benefit from incredible perks like free daily meals, a company gym, and no less than 46 days off!

What we offer

We believe in rewarding hard work and innovation. Next to a young and entrepreneurial culture where your initiative is highly encouraged, you can expect:

  • Salary & Rewards: A competitive monthly salary between €3,380 and €3,735 (including shift allowance), with performance-based salary growth that directly rewards your results.
  • Time off & Balance: An amazing 33 vacation days PLUS 13 ADV days per year (that is 46 days off in total!), along with time-for-time compensation when working extra hours.
  • Food & Health: Completely free daily lunch, dinner, and healthy snacks available on-site, plus free access to our company gym to keep you fit and energized.
  • Career & Development: A strong focus on your personal development, supported by a tailored learning plan and extensive career opportunities across a wide range of functions.

What you will do

As a High-Tech Assembly Technician, no two days are exactly the same. In a nutshell, you will:

  • Perform multi-disciplinary assembly tasks, combining mechanical, electrical, and software-adjacent elements.
  • Use hand tools, power screwdrivers, and torque wrenches to accurately assemble modules and systems.
  • Route and bundle cables and wire harnesses with great precision.
  • Execute testing and inspection activities to guarantee the highest product quality.
  • Report any deviations and actively support continuous quality improvements on the shop floor.
  • Follow ESD, safety, and 5S guidelines meticulously to maintain a safe working environment.

Who you are

We are looking for a quality-focused team player with a keen eye for detail. A technical education is not strictly required; your relevant practical experience is equally valued! Furthermore, you bring:

  • Experience in assembly, production, manufacturing, or similar hands-on technical work.
  • A solid understanding of assembly processes and the ability to read and follow technical instructions.
  • Experience working with various hand tools and measurement equipment.
  • The ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team.
  • The willingness to work in a weekly 2-shift schedule (Morning shift: 06:00 - 14:15 / Afternoon shift: 14:15 – 23:00, with an early weekend start on Fridays at 20:30).
  • Good communication skills in English to thrive in our international environment.
